How can water be all three forms of existance at one and the same time ?

If not, then this example only proves the trinity to be polytheism.

It's like fried ice cream.

You only see it in the South.

The trinity is not like water, it is more like light. Light is made up of the spectrum of which three colors are primary. Those primary colors are of the same substance (photons) and the pattern, ROYGBV, can be repeated infintely (ROYGBVROY...). Also, a perfect rainbow is not an arc, but a circle - a shape without a beginning or an end.

So when John says "God is Light" he is essentially saying that God is made up of three persons of the same substance. He is saying that God is infinite and that he has no beginning or an end.

Also, John had no scientific knowledge about the properties of light - he only knew what the trinity was.

The Trinity is just another mystery that surrounds the mystery of the theistic God and thus mumbo -jumbo backed up by double talk. Yes, the Trinity is tritheism and if one adds to that mary and the saints, one has polytheism for sure! Theology tries to make palatable the absurd with one guess after another. The Trinity rests on guesses alright.

a million) there is in basic terms one genuine God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 40 5:5). 2) the father is the only genuine God (John 17:3; a million Corinthians 8:6). good judgment utilized to Jesus: 3) Jesus is God (Colossians 2:9; a million Timothy 3:sixteen). 4) as a result, Jesus may be the father (John 14:9; John 10:28-30) good judgment utilized to the Holy Spirit 3) The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God (a million Corinthians 2:11,13; Matthew 3:sixteen with Luke 3:22). 4) as a result, the Holy Spirit may be the Spirit of the father (Mark 13:11; Luke 12:12 with Matthew 10:20). the excellence isn't between "persons in the Godhead," yet God present the two as an genuine and finished individual and as God all-powerful persevering with to exist aside from humanity. Without taking sides on the Trinity being provable or not..

The comparison of the Trinity to water was surely just someone trying to explain it in a way that someone could understand better than trying to explain it in spiritual terms. It wasn't being used to PROVE or DISPROVE anything, but just to help it make a little more sense by using something (water) that someone could see has three states to it, etc..

The fact that it doesn't work to compare it with water neither proves or disproves anything because it was just used as and explanation 'helper'... not used to PROVE it..

Hrm...Well I see your point but water can not exist in all three states at the same time. Since it is bound by the laws of physics. I am not willing to go as far as to say that it is polytheism...but since it has been stated that the trinity is one in the same, and since you do not see two of them in the same place at the same time then that would disprove the theory?

The analogy of water is just that an analogy. Its essence is to help one understand that one thing can exist on different planes. Water =Physical, Steam =Astral or Mental, Water vapor = Spiritual. Yet they are all water. Since time is not a reality in the existence of God, it is a moot point.

It can't. If you put the ice-cube even next to the steam, it would turn into the other forms. Makes little sense. I mean, I see what they are trying to say - it's all still h2o. But the trinity just doesn't make sense to me. Jesus never said to worship him and the holy spirit never said anything on it's own at all.

Yes, the doctrine of the Trinity was created by the Council of Nicea in 540 AD. The apostles believed that Jesus WAS God manifest in the flesh. That God was ONE (like the Jews believe) "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One Lord".

The Catholic church created the doctrine of the Trinity to try and merge other pagan religions with Catholicism to make it more palatable for them. The Catholics even admit it in the Catholic encyclopedia.

I am christian. However I don't believe in thee trinity. It is nowhere in the bible. Just because it says the father the son and th holy spirit means nothing. It says they are one. It also says a husband and wife are one. That doesn't mean they are the same person. It means they are supposed to be of the same mind. Wanting and doing things that benefit them and their children.

Then look at the 3 leaf clover. It is one plant with 3 leafs.

Look at yourself when you are born of His Spirit. You are a trinity & in the image of God; body, soul & spirit. Yet you are one person with 3 elements. All three parts to us has a voice, ears, etc.

Also, there is One Creator God. Elohim created the heavens & the earth. Elohim is God the Father, Word & Holy Spirit. The Word of God put on flesh & dwelt among us.
