I'm an atheist and former Christian. I guess it's a matter of opinion whether that's considered "fallen" or just "came to my senses".

I was Christian then I was wiccan then I was atheist and now I'm a philisophical wiccan but technical atheist.
Okay honestly- I think I fell from the fold of Jesus because I didn't really like any of the people I met or went to Christian churches with. I bet if I had liked them, I would have allowed myself to be... "taken." I wish I could say I had an intellectual revelation one day but I didn't. I got interested in the supernatural because of an anxiety disorder (I was afraid of the dark, basically), and at like 14 I thought being a witch would put me in control of bumps in the night- which led me to eventually find and love my true paganosity six years later.
Kind of embarrassing to admit, actually -.-

Right here. I was a born again, saved sealed and convicted Christian.

Now, I deny the existence of Yahweh and all other gods.
I deny the messiahship of Jesus and all other saviors.
I deny the power and existence of the Holy Spirit and all the other spiritual powers conceived of by man.

Wooohooo for apostacy!

As for why -- studying psychology, neuroscience, and computer science made me realize that it was provable that free will is a literal impossibility in the universe in which we find ourselves. Without that, theism makes no sense.

I'm a recovering Catholic.

There are so many interpretations of the bible so I decided to put all preconceived notions aside and read it for myself with an open mind. I'll admit I have not read cover to cover, but I've read enough in the bible and about how it came to be in its current form to conclude that it's not for me.

There was a time when the masses believed whole-heartedly and with unwavering faith in what we now call Greek Mythology. Science shattered that faith and is now doing the same to current religions.

The main reason people walk away from Christianity is common sense.

I don't think I've fallen, but rather risen from Christianity to agnosticism.

I'm an agnostic and former Catholic.

Because Christianity just doesn't make any sense to me at all.
