Neither.
You're saying that Atheists are so because they either don't want to stop living an immoral lifestyle, or they've had such a hard life they just can't believe a god is up there? While I do not see how a loving god could watch his children suffer while he has complete control over the universe, that's not my main reason for not believing. I just don't believe, like how some believe in ghosts and others don't.

What fame and fortune? How did I miss mine?

BTW, I use reason to make decisions. I don't use drugs or alcohol because I understand that both are bad for my health. I am not promiscuous because that carries the risk of VD and pregnancy. I don't know where you get the idea that all atheists are party animals.

You question is vague and one sided assuming that atheists are the ones benefiting from these endeavors. But if you are talking about the parties and hookers that our religious leaders have been caught participating in. Falwell, Roberts, Jackson, Sharpton, they are all famous and rich because of religion and all have had indiscretions dealing with your subject matter. dont you know the Christian saying "cast not the first stone..... oh never mind, you obviously dont know it.

There's no fortune, fame, misfortune, shame, parties, or hookers in atheism, nor would I want any of that. Just the amazing peace that comes from NOT worshiping a God who drowns, sickens, slaughters, and barbecues millions, repeatedly commands his followers to kill others, and conspires to have his own kid beaten and killed. To each his own.

I wouldn't know about hookers. I have never hired one in my many many years of life. I leave that up to my good church-going friends.
There is far less shame in being superstition free than in believing the Medieval fairy tales of religion.
Many Atheists are better-off and have higher incomes than their church-going friends. That's because their minds aren't cluttered up with all that superstitious garbage.
So my answer to your question has to be - - neither.

are you a christian for the happiness and joy or start problems with people.

atheists can be very respectable people who hold jobs and take good care of kids and donate to charity, all atheists are is people who don't beleive in god.
atheist doesn't mean they party and have sex with hookers.

most atheists have no desire to explore christianity because all the christians they see are upset, problem starting, finger pointing people who just don't seem happy in general.

maybe you would have more success with atheists if you knew more about them, just like they would have more devotion to god if they knew more about him.
so shut up with insults and lame useless questions.
