there is no incubation period for human leukemia.incubation periods refer to the time one is exposed to an infectious disease, till u actually come down with symptoms-suych as,3 to 5 days for most exposed people to "come down with" the flu.leukemia is not an infectious disease,it is a cancer of the blood cells.it can strike at any time in the lifespan, from early childhood to advanced old age.the only leukemia with an incubation period, per se,is feline infectious leukemia, which cats can catch from one to another.this is a cat illness only, and cannot be transmitted from cats to humans,so owning an infected cat is quite safe.there is an inoculation to prevent cats from catching it.human leukemias are not transmissable from human to human,or to and from animals.there are several types of human leukemia,of varying degrees of severity.if u have this, dont give up hope!new treatments are arriving almost daily, look into the new drugs from rochester new york-sorry,cant remember name of the lab,but have ur dr look into it-not that many labs in rochester that do leuk research,so ur dr should be able to find the lab and the promising new drug.good luck!
