I think I answered a question similar to this but anyway I think the egg came first then the chicken then the hen.

Wrong. Roosters and hens are chickens. problem solved.
BTW, the roosters & hens (chickens) came first as part of the evolutionary process, and they mated, thus producing the egg as we know it today.
And we've always had the process wrong. First the rooster and the hen got laid, the rooster came first, the hen got screwed (out of her orgasm) then the egg got laid.

Egg-laying goes way back before chickens, and chickens inherited the trait from their ancestors, from dinosurs, back to the fish in the sea. Now, where egg laying came from, I don't know...
