and bad deeds are the result of god or none at all. You say he gave man free will but when men do good you say they did it through god? Therefore if men do bad deeds they do it through god. OR none at all. Which way do you want it? As if it is 'none at all' it simply means men have always been good and bad regardless of an unproven god which is what I always believed anyway..

everything done, whether 'good or bad' is done because GOD gave man the power to do it.

First off you do not do "bad" things through God. And as far as your question, bad deeds are not of God they are of the devil.
Do you believe in Santa Claus as well?

That is exactly the paradox of free will verses god's plan.
If everything that happens is a part of god's plan (good or bad), then free will cannot exist.
If free will exists, then there cannot be a plan.
Let's say for a moment that everything that happens is because god meant it to happen. This would defiantly throw some doubt about the Jewish people being god chosen ones when you consider WW2.

I'm not Christian ( or even close ) but I think the saying that faith without works is dead is 100% true. It's ridiculous to just say, "Well I accept Jesus so I don't have to actually be a good person." and assume you won't have to pay for it in the end. Even without faith, though, deeds should be our top priority. The fact that it isn't our top priority is likely the root of most of the worlds problems. Islam's no saint, either, but no religion really is and that's because man is by nature judgmental and corruptible. Belief, faith, deeds, values - these things should be above religion. Why we aren't all striving to be good and do good things when it's such a simple thought process? I just don't know.

First of all, Free Will is a lie. God does all things according to His purpose. If a man commits a sin it is becase GOD put it in his heart to do it. The same goes for good deeds.
sprcpt The Jews were God's chosen people. God stop dealing with the Jews after they rejected the Jesus as the prince. Now they must be born again in order to get into the kingdom of God. They will not make it into heaven for being a literal Jew.
Prove free will is in the bible. Please dont respond with the "Choose ye this day" verse because Joshua was talking to isreal and not Gentile pagans which we were before being saved.

Are you a lawyer? The wording leans that way.
Jehovah has provided us with today with the Bible. To tell us our history and future. What our choices are as to who and what we can serve. What the consequences are for choices.
We have free will to choose our paths.
Some get torn up and want to "go along" without thought. Too bad.
It is like Russian defectors in the 60's. Some got by alright. There were some that broke down mentally when they went into American supermarkets. They could not get used to making so many choices, so fast, and constantly. These few returned to Russia.
The big choices are a) worship the Creator and have chance at eternal life or b) worship something else and suffer and die.

We all have free will. The will to do wrong or right. If we do right then we are pleasing to God, if we do wrong then we answer to God for what we have done. No one does wrong for God . If we live for God thenwe try and live to be perfect like Christ and therefore we do good things not bad. When I do things that are not pleasing to the Lord I have to seek forgiveness. And since I am not perfect I do things that are not always right. So i ask
God to forgive me and go on with life and try to not do that again. That is the way we are suppose to live.

Its a sin fallen world. "bad" things will happen... when sin entered the world, it affected the very fabric of nature. Of course no one can escape it! Mankind from the beginning basically gave Satan permission to take charge of the world since the garden of Eden and things have been imperfect ever since. Anyway... consider if you will, the story of blind Bartimaeus in the bible. He cried out to Jesus as he was passing by, because Bartimaeus was blind from birth. He was guided to Jesus, but Jesus didn't do anything until He was given permission. He looked at the man's blind eyes, but first asked him: "what do you want me to do for you?" Once the man told him and gave his permission, THEN He healed the man. It had to be by Bartimaes's will and permission, only then Jesus could take action. Things don't just happen without mankind's permission, no matter what happens in this sin-fallen world That's our gift and our power that G-d gave us. So in this way, yes... we are creators too, to confirm what Resis said above me.

If God gave man free-will, then why was he such a miracle-making fool thousands of years ago (and where has he been lately)? Performing miracles would seem to be stacking the deck against the ‘free-will’ side of the argument.

Actually we CAN have it both ways. You already stated that our position is that men do things according to their free will. That's our position too. I'm not sure what the rest of your ranting is all about. God wishes us to exercise our free agency to do good. It's really pretty simple stuff...
EDIT: I didn't answer vaguely. I answered your question concisely. I don't know how to "dumb it down" any more for you. Sorry.
