That always takes a long time even with a fast computer. AVI videos are 19GB per hour. That has to be processed and converted.
On my 2.1GHz 64 bit computer that takes about 1.5 hours per hour of video.
I use PowerProducer 3 and Pinnacle's Studio 9.

Hi Blue

I have had the same problem and I have found that Womble Video Wizard DVD is excellent. It was so fast (compared to Nero Recode) that the first time I used it I thought it had failed until I burned it to DVD and it worked fine.

They even do a free trial and it isn't that expensive if you decide to go ahead and buy it :-)

I agree with WinAvi, but if you only want to watch yourself then don't bother converting, just buy a divx player and burn as data file using nero. You will find you can burn five or six films to one dvd, and divx players are cheap to buy.
