Some users here obviously abuse the "report abuse" mechanism, perhaps hoping that a Yahoo representative will issue a violation, deservedly or not. Sadly, their dishonesty is too-often rewarded.

Enemies of truth (and of a certain top contributer, apparently) have managed to orchestrate campaigns resulting in dozens of truthful, dignified, relevant answers receiving "violation" notices. And the pitter-patter of "violations" continues...

Sadly, while Yahoo continues to reverse nearly 100% of these fraudulently reported "violations", YA's current system does not allow them to restore the truthful, diginified, relevant answer.

The violation reversal is like a nice bouquet sent to the widow of a wrongfully executed prisoner. A godly person who is thus the victim of ungodliness should review the attitude of Mephibosheth.

(2 Samuel 9:13) Mephibosheth himself was dwelling in Jerusalem, for it was constantly at the table of the king that he was eating; and he was lame in both of his feet.

(2 Samuel 16:1-4) There was Ziba the attendant of Mephibosheth to meet [the king]... The king now said: “And where is the son of your master?” At this Ziba said to the king: “...he said, ‘Today the house of Israel will give back to me the royal rule of my father.’” 4 The king then said to Ziba: “Look! Yours is everything that belongs to Mephibosheth.”

(2 Samuel 19:26-27) [Mephibosheth] said: “My lord the king, it was my servant that tricked me. ...he slandered [me] to my lord the king.

(2 Samuel 19:29-30) However, the king said to him: “...I do say, You and Ziba should share in the field.” 30 At this Mephibosheth said to the king: “Let him even take the whole, now that my lord the king has come in peace to his house.”

Believe me, there is no use trying to trace it. Been there done that. I could not figure out what was offensive about my answers either.
EDIT
I went back to to see if I had let any those violation notices in my in box. Here is an example:
Question: Question about being a good Christian`female?
Question Details: It is refreshing to encounter someone who is genuinely concerned with pleasing God and having a living faith. For a start I recommend that you undertake a study of basic Bible teachings. This will give your faith a foundation and answer your questions definitively. Jehovah's Witnesses offer a free weekly, 16 week long Bible study course. It will covers topics as How You Can Find out What God
Requires, Drawing Close to God in Prayer, and Family Life That Pleases God. Follow the link I've provided and fill out the form to request a Bible study. You won't be sorry

The same week that answer was deleted, 2 others were also deleted. One, that had already been chosen as Best Answer, so I was penalized 14 points!

No, do worry about violations. I tried signing into yahoo last week, and my account had been terminated, leaving me ******; I had important emails etc...They didn't even give me a warning, and just deleted me. I got 2 violation mails yesterday and will most likely get this account deleted soon too. Here is an example, so be warned about violation mails, cause although I am sarcastic sometimes I get them for nothing.

Question: The gene pool...what will my baby look like?

Deleted Answer: Yes, this is a tricky one. After using some very technical computer imagery equipment I have a pretty good idea of what your baby will look like. Your baby will be ugly. It will have 15 toes on each foot and its face will look like a gremlin. I pray not tell you anymore. I hope you consider the unborn child. It will be very tough being born into such an awful world. I wish you well.

The same thing happened to me when I called a boy immature, he asked 5 questions in a row about why all women are sluts.
I said, "you are immature", and the violation notice came.
So, to answer your question, it might be for insulting another participant. Yahoo doesn't read the complaints they just delete the reported one.

Everyone gets reported for something on here eventually. There's no way to please everyone in the world -
Considering this question looks like it was from an apostate, I'm sure that he would obviously see you are a witness and do whatever he could to perturb you. Try not to answer the questions that are from "trollers" - people looking to piss off a certain group. By your answer to his question, his goal was reached - it looks like you weren't too happy with his question.

Dont the violations go out automatically? Or is there some technogeek in a Yahoo Answers basement somewhere reviewing all of em?

I report prolly 5 a day for racist, child pervey, and just plain ol' assholishness

Don't sweat it too much, anyone that has been here for more than a week or two has a few violation notices under their belt. Most people just do it because they disagree with you. Yahoo doesn't actually investigate the reports, they just automatically send out the notices and on occasion cancel accounts.

Unfortunately R&S is full of undemocratic neo-Nazis for whom running to tell mommy is second nature.

They see nothing at all wrong in subjecting everyone to their personal value systems.

I'm compiling a little list of them. It's quite long.

Unfortunately some people report anything they don't agree with. Let it go, it happens all the time.

Toning down the attitude will help, though.

Forward it to Yahoo staff and demand answers. It didn't work with my one violation, but it is worth a try.
