If so you must remain Holy in His sight. Look at the Israelites, when they were close to God and doing His will, they were blessed with abundance so much so at times they could barely handle it all. When they did not look to God for their decisions and provisions but they did as they please, that is when judgment was brought upon them, when they fell into captivity.
In America, we started out seeking God and wanting to do His will. We have been blessed beyond all other nations. Through the years we have drifted far from our humble beginnings and turned our backs on God. What condition are we in now? Our economy is collapsing, our schools are a shambles, our once great milatary is only a shadow of itself, other nations are far more technologically advanced then us, etc..
We must return to a lifestyle in America that is pleasing to God (Holy) or we are soon to face judgment.
How is your life? Are you living your life as Holy before the Lord, seaking to please God not man??

I am Christian and living my best for Him. I am also human and daily have to repent of my shortcomings and seek His forgiveness, mercy and restoration. Living to please anyone but God is not living.
I agree our nation is full of degregation and rebellion against God. We are 86% of the population being run by the other 14%. Our once great nation is becoming a cesspool of depravity and abominations. We have sat silently while laws were passed totally in opposition to God's commandments, we did not voice outrage over the Bible being removed from our schools, homosexuality given approval and laws enacted to protect them, etc. It is time for us to stand up voice our faith, live like we should and vote these liberals into the unemployment line.
Thank you for the opportunity to express love of God and country.

This is a very good post. There is going to be a time where people wont have the chance to repent when the end comes.
We are a country that is fat with blessings and material things, yet how many of us are sharing what we have with the Poor and afflicted? I do pray for our nation and that God would have mercy on America the reason why our schools are in shambles is because God is not allowed in schools and God will not go where he is not welcome. I remember how hard school was 20 years ago and how kids can be really cruel I am certain it has gotten much worse. The best thing we can do Stone is pray for America and be lights and witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ. Again a very good post.

Those are not "blessings" necessarily. Only to those who place more importance on the material than the spiritual. Kenny Hinson, former Gospel singer, was once offered a guaranteed million dollar contract to record a Country music album (this was in the 70's when singers did not get guarantees). He said that he thought about it long and hard. He visualized 2 roads. On 1 road satan was standing and saying come follow me Kenny and I will give you riches beyond measure. Fame, fortune, cars, women - everything you desire. Kenny said he turned and looked down the other road, and there stood Jesus with nail pierced arms outstretched. He said Kenny, I won't offer you worldly riches or pleasures. If you follow me, you may suffer, and many will not like you. But I will give you souls for the saving. And I will offer Eternal Life with me. Kenny said he took one last look down satans road and decided he couldn't afford what the devil was offering. Because behind all of that stuff piled up was a Lake of Fire and Eternal Death.

I am doing the best that I can. I think that is all you can ask of others.
Personally I have stepped up my prayer life in the past 1 1/2 years, and have grown in the depth of my relationship with the Lord. I encourage all of you here who love Jesus to get more involved in prayer and music, or both like Harp and Bowl prayer. As the day of the Lord grows near, we should be seeking greater unity with brothers and sisters in Christ of all varieties and types. We should be seeking Unity and greater involvement in each others prayers.

You are wrong about all of this. It is a myth that the USA is so religious. Many of our leading Founding Fathers were Deists who said the creator takes no further part in the universe. Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Franklin were Deists. Washington did not allow God and Christianity in the Constitution. Jefferson was said to be an atheist, and his writings prove that point. Adams said that the US government was not founded in any way upon the Christian religion. If it was, the First Amendment would not forbid a state religion. You had best check your facts.

Yes, I am....doing my best (with His help) to live for Him.....including fasting when I need to. Reading my Bible every day....spending time in prayer and praise. And trying to be still and know that He is God.

I hate to be the one to tell you this because it's going to ruin your day.
Just as Jesus came into the world for a purpose...to die for our sins....so also this world as we know it is doomed.
God has already put into place everything that will lead us out of bondage to sin and death.
we as Christians must stay on task until the end.
we have to have complete trust in Jehovah to bring us through the great tribulation...not putting our trust in mankind or the military...only God
