Just for fun are there any paints that will stick well to a bike helmet? I was looking mabey at that Krylon Fusion plastic paint or mabey paint for a model car kit, has anyone out there ever had success painting a bike helmet?

I would avoid painting a helmet until you do some good research. The oils and solvents found in paint can often damage the polystyrene that helmets are made of. That's not good.

Hey,

i agree fully with Jay P. A lot of paints contain materials that will corrupt the integrity of the helmet. They can damage the foam shell and the results could be pretty nasty.

Personally, i would rather have a plain looking helmet than finish up with a head that looks look a half eaten meat pie!!!

Painted helmets always look cheesy, unless it's done by someone with an airbrush and a decent amount of talent.
