We're all pretty much a bunch of losers, really.

Yes it happens all the time.
For instance, if I talk about the lack of religion in a country, some people will respond as if I am religious and criticizing the lack of religion in that country and some will respond as if I am an atheist and I am using that country as an example.
It is rather funny to see people rant about nothing. However, you have to watch that when talking to people in the real world - they may take a poke at you!

Honestly religion and spirituality has become more a battle field here lately, it seems. I am getting a bit tired of it myself! but i guess in anyones defense when you hear 'THE OTHER TEAM" blast one another so much then its like being in a fist fight ..you soon discover when and where to duck and jab! It has become sickening how we just become at war! where is the war for goodness sake? Arent we all here supposedly to offer answers in a mature way. unfortunatly many have used it as a place to rant and rave since they cant find better things to do with their time!

Yeah. I had that happen in the biology section when I was trying to learn about thisd 2nd law of thermodynamics and why people kept bringing it up over here as a way of refuting evolution. They all yelled at me and told me to ask silly god questions over here! I found it annoying, but now I laugh, too.

Yeah, it's pretty funny.
I remember a while ago a fellow atheist posted a question as a christian and a bunch of atheists (myself included) got a little annoyed with it.... but since then i take all questions with a grain and I just laugh at them all.

Yes, I find it quite humorous. Sometimes it's fun to play the devil's advocate and ask a question from a christian point of view (i see no contradiction in that terminology) just to see the responses you get from the like-minded folks.

I don't have a team anymore.
The most interesting responses I 've ever got was when I asked about Christian Wicca, there wasn't anyone I didn't tick off with that one.

People make assumptions all the time. We either assume everyone automatically knows what we are talking about and that we know what they are talking about.
Sounds like you have the best attitude about it. No reason to get upset, just get mildly amused.

It's funny how everyone gets so worked up about opinion. Everyone thinks differently, but they are convinced that they are right and most cannot see how others view the world...People are just ignorant...I know what you mean =)
