It amazes me that people call it a sacrifice. If Jesus is God and the two are not distinct beings, then he knew that he would not die. There's no sacrifice there! Sacrifice involves loosing something. Jesus did not loose anything by not dying because he is god.

I don't know what you mean. But Jesus was not sacrificed. He sacrificed Himself. He chose to die because He knew ot was the only way any of us could have a chance to be saved. What's all this nonsense about a banana hammock?
