I an am Atheist and if anything it is the Theists trying to oppress the free-thinker. But it nothing that I get my knickers in a knot over. People are people.

Debbie2243 - How can I have emotional issues with something that does not exist. It's like being upset with Santa because he doesn't exist.

Kaliko - There have been just as many if not more inappropriate and harsh questions posted by Theists (mainly Christians).

Are Atheist hopeless, miserable human beings?
Atheists, why is it so hard being an atheist? Ever feel like giving up?
Are atheist mad at God and that's why they refuse to acknowledge Him now?
If I became an atheist is there a secret handshake I would have to learn or a moral code to follow?
My atheist monkey children, if you don't get your morality from the bible, where is your moral foundation
What is the point of being atheist?
Why have atheists caused so much death and suffering in the twentieth century?
Why are atheists so arrogant in their belief that it's an irrefutable fact that God doesn't exist?
I just found out my boyfriend is an atheist, should i break up with him?
My pastor said dinosaur was killed during the great flood because Atheists going to Hell?
Why don't atheists get struck down like Paul?
Is evolution evil?

Steve b Seeking after salvation - We do not try to disprove. We ask that you prove. If someone walked up to you and said "Purple People Eaters exist" are you just going to believe it or ask for proof?

you're suited, asking a spiritual individual to returned their claims with good info IS a variety of persecution. So, I say we could continuously have interaction ourselves in much less extreme theory and watch extra television. That and cease ingesting babby in public. those are small issues all human beings can do to make the international a extra homogenous and boring place.

Do you think it's wrong to stereotype?

I've had several conversations recently with nonbelievers who regret the negativity that so many atheists project. Many wish to make a more positive impression:

But look, are there not more Christians who impose their faith on others? Have you ever violated Jesus' admonition against praying in public? (And since that's plain, why do so many Christians want to pray in government meetings, public ceremonies, and public schoolrooms?) What would you think if "God isn't Trustworthy" was stamped on all your coins? Would you react like that woman with the Starbuck's cup and get offended by the text rather than by the sadly burnt flavor of the overpriced coffee in the non-ecological cup?

Religion needs to be a private choice, and we need to get around to respecting one another (which doesn't necessarily mean never criticising one another).

I am a Christian but I have not bullied or persecuted yet , however I do not go out of my way to get treated as such. I believe in the old adage"Do unto others as you would want them to do to you."

No, they want me to think. My brain was kinda rusted shut after a few years of exposure to fundamental Christianity and needs a lot of the WD-40 of intelligent conversation, but It's slowly starting to work again.

I am a Christian, and I am equally mean to some of the atheists on here, we all fall into saying things we shouldn't say. For me, it doesn't make it right, but for you it may--whatev! It's all going as planned. But "bullies" might be too harsh of a word, because for the sheer amount of time most of you guys spend on here, you can only be bullies in cyberspace. "Sad but true"--James Hetfield So, like Pascal observed, each man is only master in his own home. Outside of it no mastery can be found. This is the subject of tyranny. Stay hydrated, guys.

Some of you kind of grow on some of us Christians. Missed Missing-Link for a few days. Are we starting to wear you guys down? When is baptism?

Maybe I can bore you to death again by a new subject, feel free to jump to the juicy parts if any!

No one can bully or oppress me unless I allow it. I'm usually polite to everyone & everyone is usually polite to me.

What kind of cookies do you have? I like white chocolate chip w/ macadamia nuts.
