That correct she can not get pregnant if she is not in heat - and heat is marked by a period like discharge at beginining and end but in the middle (most fertile time) there is less and possibly no discharge (but pleanty of swelling in the umm rear). No female will allow a male to mount with lust in his mind unless she's in heat but may allow a domanance mount (I assure you THEY know the difference).
Pregnancy is usually between 59-65 days 63 average.

A male will breed any time allowed yet a woman will in basic terms breed mutually as she is in warmth. this happens approximately two times a 300 and sixty 5 days and is pointed out by ability of swelling of the vulva and vaginal discharge. as quickly as she starts off exhibiting those signs and indicators she would be in a position to not breed on the instant. some canines will breed from the 1st day of those signs and indicators mutually as others won't for over 2 weeks! The time slot that they are going to enable breeding tiers from a million-17 days! each and each canines is diverse in this however the coolest information is that there is a trend. as quickly as you artwork out how long her warmth became into and the gap between the heats she would be in a position to stay with that trend. good good fortune!

Dogs don't have periods, they have heat cycles. If she's not in heat, she can't get pregnant, nor will she let the male mount her. Since you haven't the first clue about dogs or breeding, do your dogs and huge favour and get them spayed and neutered.

I agree with the above, if you are unknowledgeable about the specifics and details of breeding, you shouldn't be letting your dogs breed. Get them spayed and neutered, PLEASE.
