Yes they definately can. My friends cat had kittens and then the female and male kitten from the litter mated when they were old enough and she ended up with a house full of cats cause she never got any of them spaded.

A mature male and a mature female in heat don't give a flying you know what about who their mother was, they will mate. If you have mature cats together, get them flippin neutered and spayed, there are enough inbred homeless, sick, and dying kittens born every year, please dont' add to the problem.

It can happen but it is unusual, most of the time they know they are "related" so they wont try mating with each other, but yes it can happen on the odd occassion.

If they're sexually mature and not fixed, of course they can - so can humans, dogs, horses, cattle, etc. It's not a desirable situation tho'.
