Yes and no. I view it as a continual learning experience but there are definitely failures and mistakes along the way, that is what we should be learning from.

Life is a "big school". Just like in school making a mistake and having it pointed out to you by a teacher is not meant as punishment, but only so you learn what is correct for next time you encounter a similar situation. Mistakes are no longer considered mistakes when the lesson is learned. The pain of an error/sin no longer exists when the lesson is learned.
One acquires knowledge through study. One acquires wisdom by the proper use of knowledge, learned through experience.

I sometimes gain my wisdom through my mistakes. I see failure and mistake part of life's learning experience. We learn by what works and what does not.

Life IS a learning experience, from the womb until the day you die. And yes, it has failures and mistakes too. One man's wisdom is another man's foolishness.

Nope, I fail all the time and make mistakes. However I do learn from those mistakes and gain wisdom. But when I keep my eyes on the Lord, life goes alot smoother.

Kind of, but I do think we learn from our mistakes and they are in fact mistakes, failure only happens to us when we stop trying or give up....
I think we are constantly growing and changing due to our life experiences and our spiritual growth in what God's word has to say each step we take ....

You only fail if you die without having learned and improved over your life. As for mistakes, yes I believe there are mistakes ie. situations that could have been handled more productively. You learn from from experiencing the results/consequences of mistakes.

All things experienced teach. Wisdom is nothing more than remembering that teaching and making it useful--which in itself teaches. There is only one variable, you either actively seek experience and new knowledge or hide in a padded box of denial once you have learned enough to satisfy your ego.

We learn, but can choose either the left or right-handed path (no offense to lefties). Have we as a society become less brutal because we derive less pleasure from watching people get beat up in boxing matches? Or, has our need to fit in just transfered such pleasure to football?
