I heard it was because of complaints. I know that now they let you put on your own underwear, and you do not have to wear a "sheild" that exposes you. They do not wash and touch you naked anymore? When did that happen?

Ah, the good old days of god's touchy-feely are gone. So are the grisly gestures of self mutilation and the reference to the protestant minister as a 'Hireling of Satan'. 'Twas Jan 05 or 06.

This is because the morg wants to put on an even happier face to project to the rest of Christendom, "Hey! We're just like you! (sort of..)"

It's good to have the knowledge that mormons are 'closet perverts in the name of god' finally be known.

Sacred my a$s. It's a felony.

Naked Mormon

Since I have been going to the temple since 96, nothing has changed. They still do washing and anointing, and it's still done the same way. You are never naked! I have asked others who have been to the temple for many more years then I have, some over 50 years of temple attendance, and they all say the same thing: Nothing has changed!!!

But hey, taking something and twisting it to make it sound wrong is always a cool thing to do right?? And since you are doing the work of Satan for him, I guess he can have a few days off.

I just love ex-LDs people who think things like this!! I'll bet you have never even been to the temple yourself. If you had, you would know the difference. But hey, we can't all be perfect.

This question is full of inaccuracies and misrepresentations. Small wonder, being presented on this section....

No one ever was naked or unclothed in any temple rite. Just not true. All rites, however, including the one inaccurately described in this question, are the same rites that were performed in temples as described in the Old Testament. Nothing untoward or inappropriate has ever been done.

Even if you no longer revere the covenants that you made in the Temple, there are millions of others that do and hold the Temple sacred still. I hope you can respect that. I do not intend to sound mean, but I don't think trying to make the church sound weird is the nicest thing to do.

Oh I just LOVE exmormon.com. It's the best source of anger, hate, animosity, unrighteous vengeance, stupid comments, and other bovine fecal material I have found online.

So go be a disgruntled, anti-ex-Mormon. Call us bad names. Tell everyone the temple secrets. It's not our Karma, dude. You made the covenant. It doesn't matter if YOU renounce it. God didn't.

Don't know. Thanks for making it sound awful though for those who have no idea what you are talking about or any of the symbolic meaning of the endowment. Good job.

I hope you realize, which you probably don't, who the source of all lies, deception, hatred and animosity is don't you? Satan, and sadly, you may be doing his work for him.
