So in the summertime they can wear singlets without it looking like they have Chewbacca in a headlock.

It's a cultural thing! German women don't shave.
Example: People like Heidi Klum and Claudia Schiffer have a whole team of people who pluck, pull, and wax every undesireable hair off their bodies. Never mind the fact that most still photos of models are also edited to remove any kinds of imperfections on the skin.
However. It’s obvious that most German women shave. As a matter of fact, as a historian I would like to note that German women have shaved for years. I don’t see any hairy armpits in photos from the 1930s or later, with very rare exceptions.

legs: ideally shaved. not a brilliant deal if the hair is comfortable, and silky. under hands: Shaved, or waxed, or lazered away. under arm hair is disgusting, and a considerable turn off. pubic area: sparkling, comfortable, nicely trimmed. Shaving or waxing is not sensible, different than on the border. Chest: thoroughly shaved, or waxed. If that's in basic terms slightly of hair, that's not a brilliant deal... besides the undeniable fact that it should be comfortable. I won't enable you provide me rug burn. Eyebrows: I trust ferstn. they'd desire to be shapely, and their could be 2 of them. do not worry plucking or waxing except they seem to be a brilliant mess. that's not considerable in the event that they are mildly unkempt.

To be smoother and more feminine ... Ask a guy if he'd like to go out with a woman that doesn't and you'll have your answer. Women that do shave have a certain advantage over women that don't. Seducing men is the culprit!

You don't have to if you don't want to. But, prepare to receive a lot of dirty looks if you keep things natural.
Unfortunately, society has programmed us into believing that hair on a woman is considered ugly and undesirable. Think about it. How many women out there would really shave their body hair if no one else did it and it wasn't expected of us to do so growing up? Women are expected to perform all sorts of grooming and preening rituals in the name of beauty. Yes, it's a double standard.

Excellent question! It's not friggin' fair some of the things women have to do to look "femimine", while all men gotta do is roll out of bed, throw on some clothes, and shave a tiny patch of skin on thier face and they are done! Of course, some men do shave thier chests, which I happen to think is gross.

I'm not exactly sure WHY, but I think that it has evolved this way because society wanted an even more distinguished "feminine" look to women... ?..
Most men tend to be naturally hairier than women.. so in order to separate ourselves even more from the characteristics of men... we shave our pits .. lol..

Do you HAVE to? It's just body hair.
Oh, you think shaving for men is easy huh? Right, okay... I have to shave every day if I want a smooth face. I can't simply wax my face and be done with it for a few weeks/months, the hairs are too thick and the folicles too deep.

There is no compulsion - it's a personal preference - even Julia Roberts was photographed with a full grown bush under there, and I as a man prefer to keep it always shaved

It's a culture thing. Women in Europe don't, at least they don't shave under their arms.
