Our entitlement system is so screwed, I doubt a few million illegals are going to contribute much to breaking the bank.
Currently there is $75 trillion shortfall (present value) of entitlement funding.
This number absolutely dwarfs our current outstanding government debt, yet you don't here alarmists ringing any bells here...

My parents are dead but during the time they did collect they saw increasing deductions in the care they received. I'm not due for a decade or so but already we are seeing Dr's refusing medicare payments and less and less coverage. I figure by the time it's my turn there will be minimul if anything left. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't led the majority of my life to beleive something would be there for me. I would be better off if I could have taken the money I was forced to pay in and planned another way. Unfortunatly....with the continuing decline in wages compared to the cost of living.....many of us have just gotten by without any means of saving the unreal amount expected to get by in the future. It angers me that once again I've done exactly what I was told to do and yet get caught in another "between" state where I end up with zilch. They keep changing the rules and unfortunatly you can never have a fighting chance to win when they change the rules so you loose. I remember when my dad was in an uproar years ago when they started tapping into social security funds for other things. He had a feeling then it was over and 1 of the first times my dad starting not trusting the government. They never paid back the money they took from social security and have tapped in many times since. Now they can scream all they wanted about the demands of the "baby boomers" but we aren't there yet and aren't getting a fraction of what previous generations received.
Social security isn't just for retired people. There are other disabled people tapping into these funds as well and support payments to their children. As with everything I have a feeling we will not only be responsible for elderly but an increasing amout of "disabled" people and their families who have found some "loophole" in that system as well. As it is now it's hard to qualify for the disability....but it also used to be hard to qualify for other aid and they managed to get by with that as well.
Personally.....it doesn't look good for me and it's too late to really be able to do a whole lot about it.

If the proposed fast track of Blanket amnesty goes through and they can bring even those who are not members of their extended family, You nor future generations will not see a dime! Forget about educating your children and grandchildren too or College. they are already taking advantage of the system at Taxpayer expense, killing the healthcare system and the welfare system.
Your elected officials and GREEDY Corporations do not care about what you think, if they have their way in two weeks, in time for Memorial Day! They are already affecting the quality of life and Your wages!
To report employers that hire Illegal Aliens, go to irs.gov and download form 3949A. Fill this form out, make a copy and send it back by Certified Mail...They are fined $1000 and you will be rewarded 10%! You will at least get something back!

I won't have a future with Social Security if they give Social Security to illegals. It is well known that Social Security will run out of money in the near future. If they give Social Security to Illegals then that money will run out long before!!!!!
Thanks politicians!!!!!

Who said they were going to do that? It's like asking "if the government blows up the moon, will you be angry?" It's an absurd question and has nothing to do with any of the immigration proposals on the table. You're just trying to give fodder to the people on here who are paranoid about "illegal aliens" coming in and destroying their world.

Nothing. My mother is 83 and continues to collect SS. I am 62 and started collecting SS as soon as I could. The 140 million legals and 10 million illegals working in the US today are paying SS taxes to guarantee our income. If it all falls apart a year after I am dead...too bad.
