Not that I condone getting drunk and almost choking to death on a lame career and a hamburger...and I certainly sympathize with this guy having all kinds of money and beating women off with a stick...but after hearing that intervention, and seeing how I am amazed he hasn't committed suicide yet...can we really blame him for wanting to drink? She was annoying the hell out of me and I was sober.

No matter what is going on his life, I'd say any kind of problem, big or small will be enough to drive someone to drink if they already have issues with alcohol (which he clearly has). He either uses it as a crutch - a crutch that makes him fall over instead of holding him up - or he uses it to escape. His coping strategies are useless, he needs to face the fact he has a serious problem and sort it out because he is getting older and heavy drinkers dont live long if they dont stop thats a fact. It must be horrible for him to be in such a state so publicly, which he doesnt have a choice about because the papers love to kick celebrities when they are down. He should go off somewhere quiet and take some time out and look at what hes doing to his life and stop the drinking. Then he will be able to see his other problems with his daughter and the damage hes done to his career and put things in perspective. Alcoholism is a disease and its a very ugly sight to see someone suffering with it. But I still think anyone with problems like that can sort it if they really want to. I know cos I used to be an alcoholic!

If you are talking about the video of him on the floor trashed and eating a hamburger, she was right in doing that (though I don't think it should have been all over the internet). If that is how he finally gets that he is drinking too much with this video, then it is a good thing.

That whole episode was for publicity for a man with a faltering acting career to bring him back in the limelight , obviously it worked ,your asking a question about it :))

Nope, drink solves all problems; albeit temporarily, but still problem solved!

You are assuming that the daughter story is true, what if it weren't true?
