massage therapy would help loosen the neck and shoulder muscles. nowadays the biggest medical problem doctors are seeing is from computer work. I really recommend you see a chiropractor because they can take care of the problem as well as advise you on what to do at work to lessen the pain.

I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area.

Besides taking breaks from looking at the screen every hour for a couple minutes try some shoulder rolls and neck stretches at your desk. It will def help and who cares what you look like. :)
My problem is I have the monitor farther away than rec commended length because I should be wearing reading glasses when I work. Maybe that could be part of the problem for you, too. For me it's my own silly fault. Good luck!

Wow! I am so sorry you must paintings such lengthy hours, and in particular having to suffer a sore neck afterwards. Talk approximately unfair! Is there any one at paintings who might positioned his possess pursuits apart for perhaps 2 mins, simply to rub your neck for you? A quick therapeutic massage might be so quality! I might strongly inspire you to speak this one up across the workplace to peer if you'll flush out any person who might be inclined to return over and paintings for your neck for a couple of mins whilst you want it, despite the fact that you needed to established a problem wherein you might volunteer to do it again as a thanks. When my neck used to be stiff and sore, I positioned my track 4 inches larger and feature in no way been troubled through a sore neck, when you consider that. So, I might additionally inspire you to scan with the best way you're sitting and the peak of the track and your commonplace posture whilst you're operating for that many hours, recall to rise up and stretch by and large. Talk it up and any person will say whatever to you, and your difficulty can be solved. It is once we all "endure in silence" that our humanity turns into reduced. Some humans (like me) might welcome the possibility to paintings the ones neck muscle tissue, and unfasten them up for you. It takes approximately 4 mins to get all of them to give up bothering you. When you get residence, an ice % may also paintings wonders in decreasing the irritation that's on the whole happening through then (use it twenty mins at a time). Sent to you with well energies from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. (I am sixty three years ancient.)

Try repositioning the height of the monitor in relationship to your eyes. I find the most comfortable position is to have the top of the monitor screen slightly below eye level.
