Quran is final and same universally because it is protected by God, whereas Bible is no more original.

The final version of the Bible was "on the market" about 400 years before the Qur'an. It is still in existence and in use today. However because it is written in three languages that are no longer in use today, there are multiple translations of the book available. All translation are made from early Greek, Hebrew and Aramiac texts.

Because any language changes with time, a translation has to be updated to match reflect the changes - not in the original text - but in the language it is translated into. Also, different versions exist for different usages. For example, there are versions that are very strict, word for word translations. But because of the difference and Greek/Hebrew grammar and English grammar, they can be difficult to understand. So there are also versions designed for easier readability. These will normally include footnotes to reference the "stricter" wording.

There are versions designed for people who use English as their second language, and so they have a more limited vocabulary, So these versions are done with simpler words and shorter sentences to make them easier to understand.

Not knowing the original language of the Qur'an, when I read it, I have to rely on English "versions" of it. As there are multiple English Qur'ans available, does that mean that the Qur'an is not in final form? And even within the original language, I have come across 12 different official approved recitations of the Qur'an. So it is not universally the same.

If the existence of multiple English versions and multiple recitations of the Qur'an does not invalidate it, so the existence of multiple versions of the Bible does not invalidate the Bible. Like the versions of the Qur'an, all of the versions of the Bible are based to the same texts in the original language.

I must disagree with you Punter, it even says in the Qur'an that God's Word doesn't extinguish: And if all the trees in the earth were pens, and the sea, with seven more seas to help it, (were ink), the words of Allah could not be exhausted. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Wise ~Qur'an, Pickthall translation, Sura 31 - Lukman, vs. 27 If the Qur'an is the FINAL Word of God, why would this be in the Qur'an? The Baha'i Holy Writings are God's revelation for modern times. The Baha'i Era began in 1844 Iran, with the coming of the Midhi/Qaim, El Bab. El Bab began the Babi religion, all the while proclaiming One who was greater than he: "He whom God would make manifest." That One is Baha'u'llah, the Prophet-Founder of the Baha'i Faith. Almost all of the Babis became Baha'is, and those who didn't died out, leaving only Baha'is. Yes, Baha'u'llah is Isaa come again, as that's what the Madhi/Qaim is supposed to be proclaiming. El Bab and Baha'u'llah were the Twin Manifestations of God. Isn't this INCREDIBLE??? Come and see, don't miss the boat!!! The Baha'i Writings are vast, consisting of many many many volumes, more than one hundred for sure. Not one word has been changed, we even have the ORIGINAL WRITINGS in the ORIGINAL INK. Can you believe? Baha'u'llah wrote these writings, that would be the same as Muhammad writing the Qur'an in his own hand. Imagine, what a treasure that would be! The Baha'i Writings offer this, come and see! Btw, most of it was written in Arabic, and a small percentage was written in Farsi. You can read it for yourself, and about the Baha'i Faith, in the links below:

There are many versions of the Bible but those are merely different translations. The content is still the same. For example look at the King James Version and the New International Version John 3:3 -- they both say the same thing, just in a different way.

KJV Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

NIV In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again

There is no new revelation of God as Jesus was the fullness of Gods Salvation plan. Any book which follows the divinely written word of God for our salvation or new revelation of God does not come From the Lord but from one who is a divisive Spirit not the spirit of the Lord

Shakespeare's works are also "final and same universally," but they are also just fiction, as is the Quran
