I suppose if you define;
angels
revelations
miracles
supernatural stuff
devils / jinn
supernatural god
as religion, then they don't mix.

Reverse the list and you have the answer.
Your understanding of the universe begins with the idea that God does not exist. Therefore anything connected to him (such as miracles and angles) can not possible be true.
If you reverse the assumption, and begin with the idea that God does exist, then logaclly all of the other thing (miracle=his ability to work, revelations=his ability to speak, angles=his ability to create) have to follow.
Is there logical evidence for the existence of God? Apparently the majority of humanity believes so. In every age and culture, theism has always been present, and has far outweight atheism in members. Philosophers through the ages have more often then not reached the conculsion that God exist. Even many of the great scientist throughout history have been theist, often crediting God has the source of their inspirations.
How do you mix religion with reason? Its not hard. You just have to open your heart and begin with the assumption that he is there. After that, the evidence and logics becomes clear.

First, religion is not just a word - you feel it. With the feeling of belief in a higher power "God" comes the answer. No one is suppose to understand how God works and why- that's where people get their reason from. In order to believe in angels, revelations, miracles, etc... you must believe that they were created by the higher power "God". My reason behind angels - is God gives each one of us an angel to watch over us. The times you sitting there and you feel like you not alone - maybe your not. The times when you think nothing good come from something bad and it does, there's one kind of miracle. And when an accident happens and by the looks of things, someone should be dead and yet there not- there's a miracle. The reason - is God. That is my religion and reason. Take it how you choose.

Anything in the world can be reasoned about if there exists the desire to do so. This list here are all entities that anyone who cares to do so can strike up an argument about. In fact, people do it all the time.
ex-Muslim turned atheist, eh? A rather draconian "religion" if I do say.

If u want to reason then u arnt believing it.So dont think reason and belief match together.
John 3:16[kjv] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free.
Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

If I were an atheist, I would not believe in the supernatural either. But I do not have enough faith to be an atheist.
The God who created the universe and the laws of nature can break those laws if he wants to.

It works like this, what is conceived in ethereal thought is manifested into tangible matter. Quantum physics has indicated this to be so and soon it will be proved outright. I hope that helps and remember that old sageway, be careful what You wish for!

Are you talking to religious people who say that religion and reason can mix, or are you talking to religious people who say that ALL religion and reason can mix?

One only has to understand there is more than just a physical plane of existence.
How sad if this was all there is and that man's whole purpose is eat-drink-be merry according to his/her own standards.
