Perhaps some form of ride share, you can also place an ad on craigslist.

Perhaps you can borrow the funds and take a bus.

I would say you don't have much time left. You need to start walking however you probably should pick up the pace.

depending on the law hitchlikeing is aganist the law or you can hop a fright train east bound ,but that too is against the law .
