I am not Jewish but their Niddah laws make perfect sense.

I think they are of great benefit to everyone. They make you appreciate the relationship with your partner without basing it purely on the sexual side of things and gives you the opportunity to know each other without the added pressure. Also the timing with conception with regard to the 'seven' days abstinence after menstruation hits the common sense nail right on the head.

Also menstruation is a special and personal time for a woman and the Mikvah is quite a sensible way to go about things.

I agree with you the laws of Niddah makes perfect sense. If all ladies would follow these laws, then we would not have teenage pregnancies and we would not have family abuses. Orthodox Jews, for the most part have less domestic violence then any other group.

Whats more interesting is that they have linked lower rates of cervical cancer in women to observance of the niddah laws.
