4 more days to the wedding day. How many R and S regulars who are married were nervous and excited? Were you thinking more about your own feelings, or reflecting on your spiritual beliefs? For those who are remarried, I ask the same. Thanks.

I was all of the above and very confused. I did not speak the local language and knew I was relying completely on my husband to translate and help me through the rites. No one but he spoke English, and that, at times questionably!

It was my first day in his country and I was still adjusting to the 100% humidity and 98% temperature so to be honest, during the ceremony, I was equally trying to keep from melting into a pool of perspiration.

It was still a lovely thing and that whole day a lovely memory, picking up when we climbed back into his air conditioned car and sped off on our honeymoon!

I was reflecting on everything, spiritual beliefs as well as those above. Mostly I was just experiencing that wonderful emotion of love as my heart swelled in joy whenever I glanced over at him in his beauty.

I know this is probably "bad Muslimah" but I also loved watching him as we prayed together. His grace and devotion were evident in his every movement. This too, I remember from our wedding.

I am excited for you Sister. From what I know of your past, you deserve this wonderful man! I know from what you have said, he appreciates you as the gem of light and love that you are. I wish you both all the happiness you both bring to each other, and may the blessings of Allah be upon you both.... and your children of course.

Are you changing your avatar? I keep trying to tell you that the photo of you in your wedding gown is beautiful but every time I come back to this question, there's a new picture. *grin*
