The Bible doesn't answer every question and it certainly doesn't tell us everything we'd like to know about God and His thinking.
For a dog to do what this one did tells me he has a soul. If my dog isn't in heaven when I get there I will demand to know why not.

pit bulls are already being banned in certain neighborhoods across the U.S. Pitbulls are bred for killing. Not everybody is a responsible pet owner. Why anyone would choose a pit bull for the family dog is beyond me. They KILL. Their jaws are different . They have killed little children and grandmas going to the mailbox. They have killed athletic people. I do not think there is any reason humans need a pit bull. I know there are nice people out there that are good with their dogs, but the majority of pit bull owners are pretty rough people. There are guys that have them tied up with tractor chains. ( I think I'll get a "family cat"...something the kids will enjoy ! Perhaps a pretty tiger ???)

I did see the story it's so sad!! I believe the little guy is in heaven. The unconditional love of dogs is amazing.
I think the parents should have been supervising the child better and i also think that dangerous breeds should be kept away from children. If a person is able to own a dog they should be able to take care of it, train it and make sure the dog and any people around are safe.

There is no doubt that this dog is in Heaven!!! You have hear that all dogs go to Heaven!! Well I do believe this as well as cats and all other types of pets.
I have always believed that when a pet dies it is because God is needing that pet up in Heaven to be with a child that is up there to keep it company and to play with.
The animals are not in pain or suffering. There are lots of grassy fields to run and play in. All the food and water they they would need.
And yes I do believe when I die that I will see my dogs and cat one day. If I do go to Heaven and my pets are not there then I want to go where they are at!!!
As far as the pit bulls. The owners are the ones that should be sent to jail for their dog's behavior!! Dogs are not born to be mean!! They are trained that way!!! I have always felt that dogs are only as smart as their owners.
Maybe if people were sent to jail then these accidents would not happen.

This is to the first guy, you don't blame the dog or the kid, nether do i, but i think the owner has the greatest responsibility, I've heard of pit bulls and other dangerous breads attacking people in there own yards.
I'm a dog owner i make it my absolute responsibility to train my dog and have him behave with other dogs and people, and if i couldn't i would think i would need education to enable this, like a dog training session.

The dog did a very nobel thing and I am shure he would be in heaven. But I do not believe that the pit bull is a dangerous breed. It is only bad because it was not properly taken care of just like any other breed out there. This just made a big deal because it was a pit. Don't lump the whole breed in to one catagory because of a few bad dogs.

I would like to think that all animals go to heaven . I know that if I make it to heaven, I hope there are animals there .Pit Bulls are beautiful dogs . My son had one after he left home . It was the sweetest most affectionate dog i have ever seen . But it was also a very protective and loyal dog . I think there should be law that anyone owning a large breed dog of any kind should have to take it to obedience school.I also think we need tougher laws on animal abuse ,controlling our pets ,and tougher lease laws . I can't blame the animal but I do blame the owners .

I don't know if this dog is on heaven, but I do believe in the love of God, and I belive he is in a happy and peaceful place. Dogs are not vicious by nature. Regardless of breed, if you show them love from the beginning, then thet will return the same. If you treat them with violenve, they will also respond in kind. I have heard many stories about some pit bulls that are so gentle, you would NOT believe it.

No I do not think ppl should keep pitbulls they are just too unpredictable . I really dislike the way those dogs act !!! I am glad to see that more citys are putting bans on them . I like ppl should not be allowed to breed them . Let the breed die out . I mean how many more incidents have to occur before we truly do something . Yes I am very sorry for the little guy that died and may I say that heaven is a better place because that little guy is there and no longer in pain .

I saw that story. It was really sad. Brave little guy. Yes, I think he's in heaven. Pit Bulls can be very nice dogs. They're also great with kids. It's all in how people train them. It's not really the dog's fault that their owner didn't teach them what's right and wrong. I think that people who don't know how to own and train them shouldn't keep them, but I think that people who want to dedicate the time and effort to raise them to be ambassadors of their breed should.

Even though the Bible does not support the idea, I'd like to think so. What a brave little guy. Dogs are so amazing sometimes - makes us humans seems like the inferior species.
Pitbulls are dangerous, but I've owned two nice ones (they were strays who I housed for short time). I think it's all in the way they are raised and trained. Any dog can be dangerous if they feel threatened.
