And when did that stereotype start?

That's good to hear cos my friend keeps arguing with me about it and she says she doesn't like tomboys because of the stereotypical image they're given.

This question really cracked me up, because there was no more tomboyish tomboy of a little girl than me - climbing trees, riding horses (bareback also), heading off on the bikes, kicking the football around ... and I still refuse to get out of jeans, except for a very special occasion.

Now I'm a 39 year old woman and have been with my man for nearly 14 years, but I still flirt a little bit with other men, as even when you are on a diet you can still look at the menu. So I'm not gay!!!

Being a tomboy doesn't mean you're automatically gay. It's just a silly rumour started by homophobic fascists who want all girls in pink and all boys in blue. Ignore it, and them, as clearly they haven't a clue.

Hold on sec there, I am a serious tom boy. I love my fast cars, I love drag racing. I love watching sports, and when I was little I only played with the boys and got dirty and went fishing and caught frogs. But now I do my nails and my hair and I think Im quite pretty. But I still go fishing and get dirty every now and then. I have a boyfriend who is more "manly" than me and thats the way I like it. Guys are getting too sissy *** now a days.

Um, no. I was a tomboy for most of my teens and although I am not a pamper myself silly every day kind of girl, being a tomboy has not affected my femininity (Listen to me, I will be burning my bra soon! loL!)
