Furtherance is very old fashioned in this context. Say 'further to our letter', it's quite correct and more in keeping with current language usage.

Furtherance is antiquated. I'd just say, "As stated in our letter...." or "Following our letter..."
Furtherance means "the act of promoting or advancing." Are you really promoting or advancing your letter? Probably not. You're probably doing something you said you'd do in the letter, or continuing something started by your letter.
