I've been with my girlfriend for 18 months, but just before christmas, after she'd been in france for a month, and I was feeling very low, I cheated on her with a man. I've regretted it ever since, but I feel I have to tell her. It has not happened again and it meant nothing to me. How do I tell her?.... What do you think my chances are that we'll stay together?

It sounds like you need to tell her so that she can comfort you about feeling bad about it, not because you are caring about her position. If it really was a drunken curiosity thing that means nothing to you then she is not in danger from it and frankly doesn't need to know. If you do tell her then it is likely to sit and fester and create problems later. How can images not come into her mind while you are making love? The only reason I can think for you telling her (in consideration of her needs rather than yours) is if common acquaintance know about it and may tell her and you have to attempt damage limitation.

She would have to be very open minded and, understanding, very. Keep this in mind. And, she would always be suspicious of you:might even bring it up and use it against you from time to time in an argument.
I would think very seriously about ever bringing it up unless you have an ulterior reason for not telling us. There's no reason unless you expect to explore these possibilities in the future and want an opinion from us.
If you do want to tell her this bad, expect her to take the defensive and treat it as a woman affair, she may tell you to take a hike along with some expletive words of wisdom.

You should tell her, be honest. If this was just a one time thing with a guy, tell her that too. If this exp. has left you wanting to experiment further, you need to let her know.
It doesn't matter if you were drunk or not, you did it with a guy! Don't know if she can get over that. YUCK!

i know this won't be a popular answer, but i suggest not telling her. to hear that your bf cheated you with a girl is too much. but to hear that he did it with another guy, that's beyond torture.
as long as you regretted it, and have never done it again. probably it's better to stay quiet.
what she doesn't know won't hurt her.
