If I was made in the image of God then God must be short, fat and going bald.

That is answered in Genesis 2:7, where more details about the creation are given. God forms a body from the elements of the earth, and breathes into his from his own breath (also translated "spirit" everywhere else the word appears) and man becomes a living soul. So man is made of three different parts, body, soul and spirit.
God is a spirit, so it is not the physical body that is made in his image. Rather it is the spirit. That is why man has the ability to understand right and wrong, and make moral choices. But then is also held responsible for those choices.
At one point God did take a physical body, and appear in human form as Jesus the Christ. But the Bible gives no record of what Jesus looked like physically.
The creation of woman from the "rib" of a man is meant to show that woman is of the same nature as man. They are not two separate species, or one is not superior or inferior to the other. But rather they share the same nature, physically, mentally and spiritually. The process by which woman was made is similar to "cloning", only done in such a way that she became the genetic reverse of the man. Most obvious difference being that she was female rather than male. A process that science as yet to develop.

You mean we are made in his image and that's the ideal of what God looks like and all that you really should know until his son Jesus returns, but i tell you this the Bible says that no man have seen the face of God and if i remember the scriptures right that Moses came close but the glory of God was so great that bible says that God pass by him not seeing his face for his glory was to great changing moses facial appearance. There is even a passage in the bible that quotes even the angels in heaven the cherubims cover there faces because of the brightness of his Glory now check this the bible say's "every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that he is Lord..i can see why!!!

The "image" the Bible is talking about is not the physical image per se. Instead, we were created in His own likeness in the spiritual realm. Being in the image and likeness of God is beyond the physical nature of this world.
The Bible says, that we must worship God in spirit and in truth , that means God does not have a physical body like us. You cannot converse with Him face to face nor can call Him through telephone but you can pray to Him which is a means of communicating to God.

Like man with an extra rib?
No just kidding. I think it was meant symbolically. Like God we have the capacity to know right and wrong and to have free will.

Your argument isn't very wise - it really is fallacious because the bible states that He created Adam from airborne dirt and dirt. Ever heard the expression 'airborne dirt and dirt to airborne dirt and dirt' earlier? Adam became the first guy to have God's spirit in him - in His non secular photo! study the unique texts. Secondly there aren't any lady spirits in heaven- we are all an similar - spirits, deriving from Him and returning to Him to account for our lack of understand-how and movements on Judgement Day. the actual shown truth that we've an earth suite at recent is of little chance-free practices on your lengthy time period mind-set in case you worry to intellectualise as a lot because the subsequent aspect of your existence - after all even historic guy knew of their spirit lives tens of thousands of years in the past. by the way, 'Eve' under no circumstances became the call of the spouse of Adam - it really is the call of the Goddess that eats the sunlight at nightfall and merely between the various pagan aberrations in the bible
