Fatima is a very valid miracle confirmed by thousands of people AND the vatican. Pope John Paul II was the third secret of Fatima. The children came on the first saturday (i think) to the grotto/cova and our Lady would appear to them. she showed them hell, explained that people need to come to God and accept Jesus before they will relinquish hell's hold and that russia needed to convert -thisis still a challenge. she begged people to pray, pray daily with sincerity and love.

10. BUT ISN'T THE MESSAGE OF FATIMA JUST A PRIVATE REVELATION WHICH NO CATHOLIC HAS TO BELIEVE?

No, it is not just a private revelation. It is a public, prophetic revelation given by the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. It is not to be confused with "Revelation" or as it is also called, the Deposit of the Faith, which ended with the death of the last Apostle. But public, prophetic revelation must not be despised. The Virgin Mary's prophecy was confirmed by a public miracle and authenticated by a whole line of Popes. Also, its predictions have come true.

So, while belief in the Message of Fatima may not strictly be required of Catholics as an article of faith, one would be very foolish to disregard such an obviously authentic message from Heaven. As St. Paul taught: "Despise not prophecies, but prove all things; hold fast to that which is good." (1 Thess. 5:20-21) The prophecy of Fatima has been proven worthy of belief. We should not despise it, but rather hold fast to what Our Lady told us at Fatima.

Catholics don't walk around banging their chests and shouting about it - they tell, they talk and then they let people decide.

the three children lived pious religious lives. I believe Lucia just recently passed away - she was a cloistered nun. none of the children went mad, quite the opposite.

The Fatima miracle is the most important event that occured in the 20 th century, 1917. Our Lady promised this miracle way in advance and on the exact day that She promised it happened. An estimated 70,000 people gathered to see if the miracle that had been promised would be performed. True to Her word , Our Lady gave us the Miracle of the sun, so that those who doubted that She came with an urgent message from God would believe. Among the witnesses were atheists, doubters and reporters , besides the faithful.

This is a testimony from one of the witnesses about what happened that day:

For more information on the message that Our Lady of Fatima came with , which was even more important than the miracle do visit the following links:

What was the Fatima message? What were the requests of God? Have they been complied with by the Vatican? Does world peace today depend on a small request of God being obeyed? What does the third secret really consist of ? Has Communism truly been overthrown? A team of Fatima priests have made this documentary which explains the significance of Fatima in modern times. To ignore the Fatima message would be to our peril:

Miracles is act of God: an event that appears to be contrary to the laws of nature and is regarded as an act of God.

Now i have experience many miracles in my life. The one thing i cannot forget. It was early in the morning when i awaken suddenly, i dont know why. Irealized it only when my feet touches the floor and fell the water. I forget the foucet in the bathroom to close. I saw the water almost level in the power outlet, if i did not awaken that time i maybe i will be dead. The question i am asking how come i wakeup at that time? I close my eyes and realized maybe God awaken me.

Now i am sure many of you experience miracles, things you can't explain. Maybe its a pure luck but ask your self is it really pure luck or a Miracle...

The event in Portugal is one of example of a Miracle. And it was the faith of 70,000 peoples to witness the miracle of God. As Jesus said "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move"

If you experience a miracle do you expect other people to believed of your story? I think not... It is up to you to decide if its purely fabricated lies or miracle witness by 70,000 people.

May god bless you

they made a movie of it in the 50's. they say children were playing under a great big old tree when something happened and the children went in to a prophecy state. no one could shake them out of it. they just keep screaming the future for hours. and for about a year and half the kids would just be walking or playing and bam they would stop and starting belting prophecy. people came from all over the world. last i herd there was one alive and the last prophecy they spoke all those years ago almost drove the children mad. it seems that all the engines stopped. the humm of electricity silenced. i believe the one still alive is a women she claims she can give us an 8 day warning. ck it out on-line. pretty interesting.

I have seen scripture where an evil person will do miracles too.

My whole decision as to what to think of that occurance is to reason that if it was a Godly design, then Jesus would have been the focus of it. And from what I've seen, that wasn't there. Jesus is the center of faith, since the Bible states that he is the author of Faith. So unless someone can show me that Jesus was the center of what happened there, I will refrain from calling it a God inspired occurance.

As far as what inspired it if there was an absence of the message of Christ, I will leave that to those who read what I just said.

2 popes consecrated Russia in the Roman Catholic Church based on the messages of Fátima and Pontevedra. One became into Pope Pius XII, who became into appointed Archbishop in the Sistine Chapel on would 13, 1917, the comparable day the Fátima apparitions have been stated. the different became into Pope John Paul II who became into shot in Rome on would 13, 1981 and later credited Our lady of Fátima together with his restoration, asserting that it became into "in mysterious accident with the anniversary of the 1st apparition".[4][5] In October 1942, Pope Pius XII performed the Consecration to the stainless heart of Mary for the completed international and a decade later in July 1952 he particularly consecrated the Peoples of Russia to the stainless heart of Mary by ability of his apostolic letter Sacro Vergente Anno. Pius XII stated:[6][7] "merely as some years in the past We consecrated the completed human race to the stainless heart of the Virgin Mary, mom of God, so in the present day We consecrate and in a maximum particular way We entrust each and all of the peoples of Russia to this Immaculate heart…" On March 25, 1984, the ceremonial dinner of the Annunciation, Pope John Paul II consecrated Russia in a public rite. yet WHY ARE YOU SO worried approximately FATIMA? CATHOLICS are actually not REQUIRED TO have self assurance IN IT. there is not any SIN IN IT regardless of IF A CATHOLIC REFUSES TO have self assurance IT. that's okay to forget ALL approximately IT. SO merely forget IT AND flow directly to something extra considerable.

There were no credible witnesses because statements were taken after the event when it had already been reported in the press. Do you think if it were credible the Vatican wouldn't be actively promoting it- in reality they don't say much about it which is proof that it isn't in fact very believable.

All miracles ceased with the apostles.
(1 Corinthians 13:8) Love never fails. But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
