Most wholesale purchasers will accept copper in any form, however there are price distinctions between different types of copper products;

heavy copper £3000 ($6000)
No 2 copper wire £2800 ($5600)
braziery copper £2600 ($5200)
brass and copper radiators £1600 ($3200)

These are the wholesale prices, per tonne of copper related products as of April 2007

Depends on who is buying it. Some companies buy copper ingots (large blocks of copper), melt it down, and make castings from it. Ingots is the cheapest shape, but it has not been processed into anything else ... this extra processing costs money.
