I believe that's our ego. It's our ego that allows us to ignore what's beyond the scope of our understanding. It doesn't even allow us to look at the things taht are clearly visible. An egoistic person would look nowhere beyond his own materialistic status and desires. He knows what's right and what's wrong. Yet he would stick on to his own beliefs, his own actions. This ego would never ever allow us to follow the path of truth. Ego leads to impatience, intolerance, ignorance, selfishness, etc. but never towards the truth.
All the best...

Blind faith in what you have been told without really checking it out for youself. Prime examples
Sabbath - Sunday contraversy
Clean and unclean foods contraversy
Gods Holy days - Pagan holy days somehow miracluosly converted to christian holidays.
Yahshea saying not one jot or tittle shall pass from the law till all be fullfilled - Christainity saying everything is done away that is not convienient for them.
A soul that dies - Eternal soul
Wake up church! there is so much more. Stop believing what your hirelings are telling you and ask God to open your minds to His truth and get you nose in your bible. Get out a lexicon for goodness sake and check what those words really mean if they seem to contradict. The bible is Gods work - Translations are mens work. Pick up some reputable works on the history and culture of the time period in which it was written. Stop looking at the scripture through 21st centuray western eyes and realize it was written to an eastern mind set in a completely diffrant time.
Repent! The Kingdom of God is at hand

Everyday Temptations. Will I walk the narrow path, or will I walk the wide path. Nobody (not even God) promised us a "Rose Garden" as we walk our daily travel down the road of good and evil. Tough choices and temptations are always there staring in our faces. I make it a daily priority to PRAY everyday (few times & more) because without Yeshuah/Jesus, I am nothing and I can't survive. That's how important my Heavenly Father and my Saviour is to me.
Love and Peace.

Well there really are no hurdles. It's just that I lived in illusion by wanting to be some place other than where I was, life is truth if one is awake to what is. ~ : )

I would think that it would be disbelief. Everyone wants to believe that they have a good amount of common sense, but seem to lack the mental discipline when it comes to spiritual things. You can see many close mouths and open minds in a geometry class, but when something like Christianity is brought up, the respect goes out the window. people are typically guided by what they've heard, what they think that they know. But I would tell you that those who are serious in discovering the truth are more close mouthed until they get a chance to ask a question. It is God's influence on those people that get them to listen, even hunger for more about God.

as we communicate its very no longer elementary to define what actuality is. human beings are consistently asserting which you have your person truths and that i will follow what i think of is authentic. because of this the main nicely known hurtle in getting to comprehend actuality is that maximum of folk say actuality is relative. if actuality is relative how do all of us comprehend what's authentic. nicely we gained't it somewhat is only the difficulty. Is there absolute truths? i think their are, yet many human beings could say that i'm incorrect. The differing comments of actuality carry people who're somewhat searching for solutions down a difficult course....

YOU YOURSELF
Ro 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Ro 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Ro 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."

satan's insidious deception
its interesting to note that satan deceived Eve by lying to her and telling her she would not die (Genesis 3:4) now most religions in the world teach that after your body dies that you go on living in some other realm... that you do not die...
Most of the world's religions still believe in satan's original lie. You will find very few religions that believe YHWH/Jehovah who gave Solomon the wisdom to write Ecclesiastes 3:19, 20 & 9:5, and David to write Psalm 146:4 and Moses to record what YHWH told Adam at Genesis 3:19 telling us exactly what happens to us when we die. And when is the resurrection of those who are asleep in death?
Yhshua/Jesus tells us at John 5:28, 29; John 11:11
And before that Daniel was told by YHWH to write Daniel 12:2. All these Scriptures expose satan's first deception that "you will not die" as the lie that it is!
agape!

A limited beliefs system. Yes religion is one of them so is Atheism. Once you believe in something as absolute truth the natural sense of discovery is shut down.
You only see what is in your realm of understanding. Like there is evidence of alien influence all over this planet but the masses choose not to see it. When you show it to them they will reject it as false.
Even a limiting belief system will stop a researcher for see what is. He would discount the obvious. This is why change comes so slow for the human.
