True Christians recognize that even the worst sinner (or pagan) can become reconciled to God and Christ.
(Isaiah 1:18) Though the sins of you people should prove to be as scarlet, they will be made white just like snow
Yet there were no pagans among those taking the lead in establishing the modern Jehovah's Witness religion. While some anti-Witnesses pretend that C.T.Russell was a member of "Freemasonry", Russell himself denied this in repeated speeches and writings.
Sadly, too many embrace the outrageous accusations of anti-Witnesses without even pretending to point to any real evidence. It would seem that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

That is a very good question!!!!
You have spoken the truth - so, expect some missiles to be fired at you. You have started war by speaking the truth.
Religion takes what is true and make it fiction. It does not present a real and true God. Religion gives people a religious God. God is definitely not religious and he completely hates religious practices. The time is coming, and now is, when true worshippers of God will worship the father in truth and in spirit. God is spirit and those who worship him must worship him in truth and in spirit, for God seeks such to worship him. So, God has got no time for religious practices - he hates them with complete hatred!!!!!!.
What God requires, more than burnt offerings, giving and church-going, is a repentant, contrite and pure heart. These the Lord will not turn away. It is also written, "Our righteousness are as filthy rags in God's sight." However, this does not imply we shouldn't strive for righteousness - since we are enouraged to seek the kingdom of God first and it's righteousness. The righteousness we are to seek is not ours - but the Kingdom's!!!!! The order is very much important. You cannot wake up the next day and decide you are going to start living right!!! It's not possible and it's contrary to the human nature to do what pleases God. BUT, if a person be in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has passed, behold all things have become new.
God does not improve the old you. He makes you a completely new person!
Religion is definitely not needed and it's also a waste of time and money!!!!!
Good question Asker!

[That which is born of the flesh is flesh] This is the answer to the objection made by Nicodemus in John 3:4. Can a man enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? Our Lord here intimates that, were even this possible, it would not answer the end; for the plant will ever be of the nature of the seed that produces it-like will beget its like. The kingdom of God is spiritual and holy; and that which is born of the Spirit resembles the Spirit; for as he is who begat, so is he who is begotten of him. Therefore, the spiritual regeneration is essentially necessary, to prepare the soul for a holy and spiritual kingdom.

Don't get bothered about such things. Religion and I mean all of them are creations of man to control man. Religions control people by fear. Some use fear as a very strong factor and there are some that use it as a underlying base but say they don't use fear. There are a lot between these extremes. fear is the most effective way to make people do what others want them to do. Think abut this for a long time and pay attention to what people that espouse religious theology have to say. Remember hellfire and brimstone?

Boy, are we so full of it tonight. As to whether someone was a free mason or not, people have been many things before they found the Truth. As for the Watchtower, it is open for anyone to see. Unlike other religions, their financial records are open for review. Their meetings are open and there are not rituals to be worried about. There is no elitists of elder with lifetime positions holding power over an ever growing congregation. When a congregation gets to big, about every 3-4 years, it is split and there are new elders created. You hold secrets by now allowing a congregation to split and not allowing others to be elders.
As for counterfeit religion, consider that Christianity nearly died out in the 2nd century. None of the complete texts of the scriptures existed. There was only fragments from which today's religions have grown.
I find it interesting that you quote from a Bible that was created because who wanted him name immortalized, King James, though the Genesis Bible was too strict. It took them over 150 years and four complete revisions before it finally matched the teachings of the Church of England and was "Authorized" for all religions to use. From this same Authorized Version, their Bishop last November stated that children born with significant defects should not be allowed to live. Now, where in the King James did he get that?

All I can do is shake my head. Baptism is a sacrament. Idolatry is not what happens in a Catholic Church, and well, the JWs, besides being a bit weird, are at least trying. The Masons are irrelevant in todays world.
Pure religion and undefiled before God is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to remain unspotted from the world. -1 James 27. I cannot see how doing this would seperate us from the Holy Spirit, sorry.
Maybe you should take Jesus' command, and be born again (John 3:6)???

There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT see. And I'm going to prove it, right here, right now.
You make it too easy for me, "jesusisking"!
You claim, "Catholics? Where do i start? How much graven art and pagan idols do you really need?!"
The Truth is, there is no graven art or pagan idols in Catholicism:
Images and Statues
Deut. 4:15 - from this verse, Protestants say that since we saw "no form" of the Lord, we should not make graven images of Him.
Deut. 4:16 - of course, in early history Israel was forbidden to make images of God because God didn't yet reveal himself visibly "in the form of any figure."
Deut. 4:17-19 - hence, had the Israelites depicted God not yet revealed, they might be tempted to worship Him in the form of a beast, bird, reptile or fish, which was a common error of the times.
Exodus 3:2-3; Dan 7:9; Matt. 3:16; Mark 1:10; Luke 3:22; John 1:32; Acts 2:3- later on, however, we see that God did reveal himself in visible form (as a dove, fire, etc).
Deut. 5:8 - God's commandment "thou shall not make a graven image" is entirely connected to the worship of false gods. God does not prohibit images to be used in worship, but He prohibits the images themselves to be worshiped.
Exodus 25:18-22; 26:1,31 - for example, God commands the making of the image of a golden cherubim. This heavenly image, of course, is not worshiped by the Israelites. Instead, the image disposes their minds to the supernatural and draws them to God.
Num. 21:8-9 - God also commands the making of the bronze serpent. The image of the bronze serpent is not an idol to be worshiped, but an article that lifts the mind to the supernatural.
I Kings 6:23-36; 7:27-39; 8:6-67 - Solomon's temple contains statues of cherubim and images of cherubim, oxen and lions. God did not condemn these images that were used in worship.
2 Kings 18:4 - it was only when the people began to worship the statue did they incur God's wrath, and the king destroyed it. The command prohibiting the use of graven images deals exclusively with the false worship of those images.
1 Chron. 28:18-19 - David gives Solomon the plan for the altar made of refined gold with a golden cherubim images. These images were used in the Jews' most solemn place of worship.
2 Chron. 3:7-14 - the house was lined with gold with elaborate cherubim carved in wood and overlaid with gold.
Ezek. 41:15 - Ezekiel describes graven images in the temple consisting of carved likenesses of cherubim. These are similar to the images of the angels and saints in many Catholic churches.
Col. 1:15 - the only image of God that Catholics worship is Jesus Christ, who is the "image" (Greek "eikon") of the invisible God.
Your claims are garden-variety, run-of-the-mill regurgitation of age-old fallacies. Don't be just another wannabe anti-Catholic, come up with something original!

Firstly many who decided to live Christian lives, ie, decided to live according to the teachings of Christ were at one point involved in horrific things, so saying that someone who started a group, being at one point involved in pagan worship makes the group he later formed pagan is flawed.
As for organised religions, the Bible mentions how important it is to not forsake the gathering together. Also repeatedly we read of how large groups gathered to worship together.

Born again of the spirit speaks of life in Christ Jesus
I have been born again of his spirit and I have his life
That is not a group of church's but the true church
This scripture is a good one that I love
1 John 5:12
12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
