Im Oneness Apostolic and im tired of Trinitarian assumptions, I don't believe in three seperate persons, but i do believe in distinctions beween the Father, Son and Holy Ghost in the functions, even SOME Trinitarians believe what I believe,I call these "Oneness Trinitarians" lol, they have a different view of what the trinity is then other Trinitarians, Please stop assuming that all christians are Trinitarian if we believe Jesus is God. Im tired of seeing the same Scriptures that Some Triniarians try to give me to prove three persons. I have many scripture that will throw them off track but I can explain (John 1:1, Gen 1: 26, Matthew 28: 19, Hebrews 1: 8-10 etc). You cannot prove a Trinity in these scriptures. Scripture doesn't contradict scripture, Why don't you read Malachi 2:10, Isaiah 9:6; 63:16, John 8: 19-27; 14: 7-10, John 12: 45. If you study history as well, you will see what the EARLY church Fathers believed, Hermas, Clement (Friends of Paul) didn't believe in the Trinity.

They are seperate mathew 3 16-17 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Also Acts 7 steven is stoned sees heaven and sees God the father and Jesus christ
Also in John 3 16 16 ¶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
These prove they are diff
Hebrews 13 8 proves that the doctrine of the three trivinity that came out in the 4th centurys also wrong because it says jesus is the same yesterday today and forever proving they always were seperate also Psalms 102:27 and Malachi 3:6 prove it

i believe in the one triune God. i always took the phrase 'the three persons of God' to mean 'the three distinct functions of God'. a lot of people get confused when they try to explain the doctrine of the Holy Trinity because it cannot be fully understood. i'm one of them. whatever the case, i think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. you're saying the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, which is the same thing everybody else says (except for a few ''christian'' sects). i don't mean to be rude or offensive, but i really don't see what your argument is here. i don't know... maybe i too am one of these so-called ''Oneness Trinitarians.'' lol. i have no idea. i've never heard of the Trinitarian church.

Basically, you doubt your own faith. I think thats a good thing, because a doubter, asks questions. Perhaps
that is why there are more agnostics and athiests (combined)than Christians.
I have no desire to start, and invoke a tirade from the bulk of the Yahoo answer brigade who have been drinking several hours before encountering this question, but if you do not accept Christ as the son of God, then you are not an Apostolic.
There are some things that yahoo answers can not solve.

Without the trinity you will run in to way to many contradictions and unexplainable scriptures in the Bible that can only be made sense of in a trinitarian view.

The answer is as simple as water....and specifically the Triple Point studied in college level general chemistry....it is a condition of temperature and pressure that allows water to exist as solid, liquid, or gas.
Do you ever wonder if there are/were other Gods, such that one God had to eventually rule ---'have no other gods before me'-- The one supreme God that many claim as their God had to have something the others didn't-maybe it was the ability to achieve human form (solid), Godly form (gas) and the (liquid) spirit that flows amongst us!

Everyone who says that Jesus is God is calling Jesus a liar. Jesus makes it crystal clear in The Apocryphon of John that He and the Holy Spirit were created and not equal to God. How long will you fail to believe the truth?

You have just explained it. Perhaps some of will remember that there is a guy here that doesn't believe in the Trinity, but still thinks that Jesus is God. Thanks for the heads up.

Mostly because every religion believes they are the one true and correct religion and that they know the truth and everyone else is wrong and will burn in hell or where it is that the "non-believers" go. Other than that I am not sure why.

Because God did not create religion. but man did and they make all sorts of rules and then claim that God told them to tell you.
