i think there is no option for save as .doc, you should do it manually from save as -> word 97-2003 document

Here are the steps you need to take:

1) Click on the office symbol in the top left hand corner.
2) In the pop up menu, click on the box in the bottom right corner titled "word options"
3) In the next pop up window that appears there are menu options on the left hand side. Click on the word "save".
4) The first option in the box should now say "save files in this format" and there is a drop down box with many options that you may choose from.
5) Once you have chosen your file format, click "ok" on the bottom of the window.

hi ya

unfortunatewly it will only automaticvally save as rthe standard doc file of the office package. so if u want it as a standard doc program u need to change it maunally on the save as o[ption. unless u run the entire offfice program on a compatiability with a lower years level.
