If you want to understand this "godhood" thing, then compare it to becoming a parent. Like this:
Mormons, what kinds of powers will you have after you achieve parenthood?
This "achieving godhood" is not a matter of having POWER. But that's how most people see it, huh?
No, no one who would want to be a god because they want POWER, is ever going to achieve godhood.
Jesus said to His disciples, that the only way they would see the kingdom of God was to HUMBLE themselves, even as humble as a small child.

I think evolving into a God or Goddess by doing certain things in the church is one of the most hynotic parts of the mormon therology that get african Americans and others to join the church, who wouldn't want to become a God or goddess??? What man wouldn't want to have his own planet with many wives unto himself??? The men are the preisthood holders to. They are the head and the women are the tail, whereas in real christianity, no one is the tail. As for powers, I don't think the church specifys as to whether Mormons will create their own planet or whether is is already created for them. They will have their own planet and many wives, and be worshipped and have many babies and put these kids on a planet like Earth, and maybe have two sons that are like satan and Jesus, again, they do not teach as to whether the Mormons will create their own earth. Did I say and be worshipped LOL.

you will be able to have your own world like God does, and send children there. this is to the best of my knowledge. i for sure know that you will be a god like our God is to us. i wish we knew more because i think learning about this type of thing is really interesting, but we will have to wait a long time to know all the answers!
