Eating healthy doesn't mean that you cannot eat things you like. If you like to snack you should snack with portion control. Put heallthy treats (gramhn crackers, strawberries, etc) in a ziplock bag. This is used for snacks. If you like to use food for comfort it might be more accomodating for you to eat more meals with lesser servings. For ex. instead of 3 meals and snacks you could break it up into 6 meals. That why you still eat but its controlled somewhat and will limit your snacking. I do the occasional late night eating also, but by portioning your meals, this should stop you or at least limit that frequency. Again though, healthy food doesn't mean "sugar free" "fat free" because these foods usually aren't filling so you will eat more of them and the calories still add up. You need to focus on spreading out your calories and eating from the food groups. Also, cooked food is better, some fat is Ok, especially good fat

It has happened to me... All I had to think about was how much more depressed I would be if I didn't reach my goal. I am also on a diet, and im a teenager, but my Dad is a doctor, so he's watching every move I make towards food (; I have enough will power to know that I want the results. It's for the happiness and pleasure of me, not others. Congratz by the way for eating an apple Instead of asking your Mom to get rid of junk food, ask her to BUY more fresh healthy produce, and maybe even filling protein bars. Well, GOOD LUCK!! I have lost 7 pounds in 8 days from going to the gym for an hour, and eating 800 calories a day! I feel awesome, and once you get the results, even 2 lbs, your happiness will overtake the feeling of depression, and you will keep going because you see the number on the scale going down. Good luck, again (: Hope you feel better <3

You might have a eating disorder, it is a very common problem in the society nowadays. It is not your fault that you have this habit, it just grows, I know how it is, it's not like when the mind decides, we just stop eating. It doesn't happen like that automatically.

I always thought people didn't understand me when I had to eat alot last time, it was just a way to pass time I might say. Then I grew so fat that I decided that once and for all I want to stop all these !! Well, it wasn't smooth sailing, tried alot of products which didn't work.

Finally last year, I took up a program a friend recommended to me to lose weight and gain some muscles along the way, it worked fine for me. It stopped my cravings for food, now I crave to do work instead, not as tired as when I was fat.

Take a look at my profile if you are interested.

Well, I don't understand when you said emotional eating. I have never heard of emotional eating before. When you eat, do you feel emotional, or do the foods cause major emotions, or whenever you become emotional you eat a lot?

Anyway, I think you should simply say no to garbage food. Some people like to watch TV others like to party. Try not to take food as a hobby for best result.

Try find other things to do. Stay away from food and eat only when necessary.

Try adding WHEAT BRAN to every meal. (not the cereral) You can find it in most health food stores. 1 to 2 tablespoons per meal. I mix 2 tablespoonfuls to a big glass of V8 or tomato juice, drink it 30 minutes before a meal, or whenever you get cravings. Works great! Regards-Bob.
