Could this really be "le meilleur des mondes possibles"? If so, what makes it so good? If not, how would you make it better?

Dream....

The only good thing about this planet are the creatures and nature....

Human behavior and morals, well, thats a complete different story.

I believe in balance, and I think this world seems to balance itself out properly when it needs to...so I think I would want my world to be balanced....because without balance, there can be no harmony!!!

But..
I would love to live in a world with less pollution, NO cars, and 10 moons above us....

And my last thought...

I wish the world that I can see had people more tolerant and accpeting of other spiritualites and religions...

This has advance into between the extremely huge questions indoors the excellent couple of many years. The moon reasons tides on earth that have been lots larger mutually as existence first began. Many have self assurance it advance into this cycle which enabled complicated molecules to sort. no rely if it is so, then existence would be an extremely uncommon occurrence. If we did not have the moon, it is going to possibly be that the sea would in basic terms be full of a few trouble-free organic and organic and organic and organic compounds and doubtless some very short polymers and amino acids. Nucleic acids and proteins would have been impossible with out the moon. isn't it ironic, regardless of the common incontrovertible fact that? it may be one extra advantageous party of techniques larger existence varieties does not have developed with out some disaster. Edit: i won't be in a position to have the ability to verify Ziggle's first declare. not between the climate seems to have any connection to the others. Water international? nicely, probably. So what? Moon collision? ok, what did that should want to do with the water? Humanity ensuing? How?

Nahh, it's not the best world.

I believe (well, not really, but it's a silly theory that at least makes sense to me), that around 50 planets were populated by 50 different gods. Yahweh got Earth. Ra got the moon. Thor got Pluto. Etc, etc.

The gods simply played a game with us, as a part of a psychological experience. It's called the Burden Game. Every planet has a burden to carry.

The humans on the moon had Lust as their primary burden. That's why it's empty now, it went really fast there.

Earth was given selfishness as their primary burden. The proof of that is all around us, we are all very, very selfish.

In this Burden Game, Earth hasn't even made it into the top10 of planets yet. Odin is in the lead, his planet, Uranus is doing really well. We're not allowed to know what their Burden is. I'm truly curious.

So, to answer your question: this would be the best of all possible worlds, if we weren't all so damn selfish.

I think Voltaire was mocking that doc in Candide. I think humans are poorly designed, particularly the back and knees. I'd work on some design improvements there. I also think it's terrible that millions of children go hungry ever night, and that half the world's population lives on less than $2 a day. If I could change anything, I would have people born at the end of their life and work their way backwards. Think how wonderful it would be if all the aches and pains of old age went away, and how much you'd appreciate youth, health and your teen years after experiencing middle age!

Well, that's very tricky question, isn't it? I've been sitting here eating my lunch, thinking about it. So this is what comes to me.

The world is, isn't It. Although perceived imperfectly by our senses, it does exists in the empirical sense. It is fact, and not a supposition. The key then would be in what we do with that fact.

This then serves as a lessen in acceptance. I mean how futile is it to be upset at death, human nature, or that irritating color pink. These thing are, and that's that. Now on to more important things, like should I eat that Pop-Tart that has been singing sweetly my name since this morning.

I'll get back to you on how that turns out, but it's looking like a pretty bad day to be a Pop-Tart.

Seeing how I've never visited other planets I've nothing to compare this world with to know if this world is the " best of all possible worlds " or not.

I'll just leave this here and mark the " watchlist " box as I'm curious to read of other planets / worlds others have visited as their " best of " worlds choices.

I'll say this . . . they're summer vacations must be allot more interesting than mine.

The only way it could be better is if we as people could collectively agree to have TOLERANCE......especially RELIGOUS TOLERANCE!
Tolerance
The most lovable quality any human being can possess is tolerance.
It is the vision that enables one to see things
from another’s viewpoint….
It is the generosity that concedes to others the right to their own opinions and their own peculiarities
It is the bigness that enables us to let people be happy in their own way instead of our way.

It's certainly the best one I've ever experienced. Flaws and all.

And while it may be possible to make 'improvements', who's to say that everyone would agree that the result was 'better'.

Anywhere with chocolate, love, wine, sunshine, rain and olives (to name but a few and in no particular order) can't be all bad. So I'm happy enough with things as they are, thanks.

"Oh well, it must be the will of God," as Candide moves along to his next tragedy....

This world is not the best, it is not even good. Then again it is neither bad.

The world simply works. It works because everything in it works. When things in it don't work, they go away. That's how the world continues to work.

Does our way of life work?

You make it better by influencing the ones around you. they must do the same. It works well in close friendship circles. It works like paying it forward.
