I worked a short time for the Bureau of Prisons, I honestly think half those guys were innocent or got hosed over in court! I don't think the general public realizes how many are innocent.

I Got Nothing Against Them, Everybody Makes Mistakes. That's Why They Have Erasers At The End Of Pencils. I Had A Supervisor At My Last Job Who Did 6 Years For Aggravated Robbery. And He Was Only 24 When He Got Out Last November!! We Worked Well, We Got Along, We Would Go Out To Eat For Lunch, He Was Pretty Cool. But Naw, I've Never Met One Who Was "Innocent."

okay so long story but i know a few convicted felons :). the truth is many go to prison knowing that they'll get out doing the same things they got sent to prison for. But some really do want to change, everyone makes mistakes, its whether they learn from them. however, i dont know anyone who has been innocent and ive heard that it's not as common as most people think.

There are people who are railroaded and are innocent, which is why I like those projects where they go back and check the DNA. However, I've also seen court cases where the accused was technically innocent of the crime which put him in jail, but was otherwise pretty heinous. Overall, if a guy in prison told me he was innocent and I should trust him, I'd probably run the other way.

Woohoo.

So what, they messed up.

No I wouldn't want a serial killer for a best friend, but a lot of people change and grow up in prison. And a felony can be as simple as trespassing. Who honestly cares about trespassing?

Felon, Schmelon. Its just another way for society to discriminate against other people.
