There is this guy that is really nice and flirtatious online, but everyday, when I see him at school, we act like we don't know each other. I've heard that next year, at the beginning of the school year he's going to ask me out, but I don't want to date a guy I can't even talk to in person. What do I do?

He's waiting to ask me out because at my school, most of the relationships end over the summer, and he doesn't want that to happen.

Sounds like he is extremely shy. On line chatting is much easier than face to face talking with somone you like.

It's unlikey his confidence level is going to increase dramatically in the little while so you have a few options.

1. Ask him out yourself.
2. Give him a amber and green light in an e-mail. Mention you'd love to see the new Harry Potter film. check out a certain book or sports store - something that you're both interested in.
3. Move on and find some one who can and will talk to you face to face.

You heard that he is going to ask you out at the beginning of next school year? What is that? If he is interested why doesn't he ask you out now? Maybe (no offense meant) he is embarrassed to be seen with you?
