Poverty. Just look at many of the countries in Africa for example

Poverty prevents them from having proper food, medicine, and becuase they are poor people take advantage of them.

Terrorism is growing in popularity as a political tool. If you are not getting your way, it seems, all you need to is to blow up a school bus and the whole world will stand up and listen. Every time we air the political aspirations or grievances of terrorists all we're doing is encouraging more of the same. It's just like saying "no" to a child screaming for ice cream. If you give in then you teach the child that you can get what you want by screaming and shouting (interestingly this increasingly the way western parents function today too).

Spiritual Ignorance is the worlds largest issue, and this can lead man to turn his back on God. When this happens, all of the above mentioned items, climate change, poverty and terrorism/religious conflict will expand at an alarming rate.
This is when man and the planet earth will need assistance from God to avoid the destruction that is dawning on the horizon.
Mans turning his back on God and saying that God does not exist, intensifies negative influences, and will bring forces into play that man really does not want to experience.
May Gods Compassion and Grace surround us during the times that lay ahead!

"The human race is beginning to evolve and abandon the mythology that is religion."

World issue, yes AJ.. but certainly not a problem. =)

Wow Fred, whom I decide to marry is the biggest issue in your world? I'm flattered. And thank you for speaking on behalf of all U.S. Christians.

According to US Christians, the single most important issue in the world today is homosexual marriage. If homosexuals are allowed to get married, god will abandon the US to its enemies, and the world will come to an end. Thank god for Bush, who although a complete moron at least realizes the importance of stopping homosexuals from having equal rights.

Half an hour ago I was standing in my bathroom looking in the mirror asking this question. This is one of the weirdest things that ever happened, seeing your question.

My answer was terrorism/radical Islam. Unchecked, it will wreck havoc on this planet.
