This is a hard day for all of us in this situation. I have thought recently of getting together a group of others whose mothers have died and doing something special on Mother's Day, or the day before.

Maybe there is a special something that you can do on Sunday that would remind you of special times you and your mother shared?

I lost my mom 2 years ago very suddenly and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. I see all those commercials for Mother's Day and just remind myself that this is just another commercialized holiday that is geared towards making money.
To make things worse- my birthday falls on Mothers Day this year. This bothers me more than any ad on TV.

Well, my mother isn't dead, she abandoned my little sister and I at a young age and I haven't spoken to her in years. My father passed away when I was very young also. My Grandma and 3 aunts pretty much raised me so for Mothers day I celebrate the 4 of them and my boyfriends Mom whom I love dearly like she is my own Mom. It's better than being depressed about Mothers day since I am aleady sad on Fathers day:(

Cheer up! Please do not think that we lost her. She is always in our mind and forever is our mother. Remember the cherish moments that we had shared. The food that she prepared. I am sure she won't like to see you upset. Don't be upset, you will be someone's mother one day, you also won't want to see your child upset, right? So, cheer up, wish you Happy Mother's Day.
