I guess I prefer Tony Stewart to anyone else because I think he is doing 2 great things. 1) He is telling the truth which is rare in this day and age of "PC - don't say anything risky" world that corporate America has created and 2) He is hurting the sport of Nascar which is never a bad thing since it is a horrible sport!

I think just like Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart needs more cheese to go with his WHINE!Sometimes being a man of few words shows more class, it's like watching a 3 year old have a tantrum in a grocery store and sometimes the child needs a time out.

They both have tons of passion and tremedous talent. They both are very talented and Stewart is just more vocal about his opinions and doesn't really care who he hurts sometimes. Jeff Gordon is vocal too just he does it in a way that no one takes it the wrong way and they listen to him. Stewart has anger issues and Jeff Gordon is starting to show that he isnt afraid to be angry at someone like Matt Kenseth. I think that everyone needs to be polite and thats what Jeff Gordon is, he had a self image he wanted to create and then he kept that image by doing those type of things that got him that image. He is polite with yes sir no mam typer of thing and that's not something you see alot in racing. He's different and that's a good thing. Stewart on the other hand sometimes hurts himself and NASCAR more then he realizes.

They both love racing, and they both have an extreme "passion" for the sport of racing.

Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart are incredible talents and have backgrounds of racing at a very young age. Tony Stewart won the World Karting TItle as a teenager, and Jeff Gordon won the USAC Midget title as a teenager.

I believe the "passion for the sport" is equal between Gordon and Stewart. Yes, Tony Stewart is a free talker who does not "mince words", and Jeff Gordon is more "measured" in his responses, but the passion of racing is very equal between the two.

The personalities of the two in interview sessions, press conferences or "off-the-cuff remarks" may be different, but that must not be interpreted as their "passion for the sport".

I believe you see the fiery nature of Tony Stewart and his extrovert personality as a "passion for the sport", and see Jeff Gordon's more reserved nature as somehow "lacking passion". You err in making that assumption.

Behind the wheel, both are equal in their "passion" today, and both have had this passion from a very early age--Jeff Gordon raced quarter midgets at age five and has been racing ever since.

"Personality" and "communication traits" have zero correlation to "racing passion".

I prefer Tony Stewart's passion, but if you think that Jeff is all "yes sir yes maam" these days, you just haven't been paying attention.

He's made some of the same criticisms Tony did about NASCAR a few weeks ago, except he said them more subtly. Along the lines of NASCAR not being hard-core racing, but a balance between entertainment and hard-core racing. Along the lines of Tony, but more subtle that coming out and essentially calling it professional wrestling on wheels.

And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our soul There walks a lady we all know Who shines white light and wants to show How everything still turns to gold And if you listen very hard The tune will come to you at last When all are one and one is all To be a rock and not to roll Woe oh oh oh oh oh And she's buying a stairway to heaven and Mama, just killed a man, Put a gun against his head, Pulled my trigger, now hes dead, Mama, life had just begun, But now Ive gone and thrown it all away- Mama ooo, Didnt mean to make you cry- If Im not back again this time tomorrow- Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters- from the early era and nowadays.... Drowning deep in my sea of loathing Broken your servant I kneel(will you give in to me) It seems what's left of my human side Is slowly changing in me(will you give in to me) Looking at my own reflection When suddenly it changes Violently it changes There is no turning back now You've woken up the demon in me Get up, come on, get down with the sickness Open up your hate, and let it flow into me

Gordon wants to win, that is all, he doesn't care about a Top Ten , he only wants to win the race. That is what passion for the sport is all about. Complaining does not equal passion.

I prefer tonys passion. No one likes to see someone just stand there and smile. I like tony cause he does love racing, I love the bad boy image, and I am glad he is back to his old self. I dont like good guys. I bet gordons wife wears the pants in that family. LOL!!! I love nascar because I love racing. I want to see some racing. Not just someone whos going to sit back and take everyone else's sh**. Thats just not who tony is, I think thats why people like him. When gordon missed the chase in '05 his fans were no where to be found. When tony missed last year, I was still here, cheering cause he was kicking tail. It was ok he didnt make it, he just go to go have fun and win races. Gordon used to always get booed, you know why hes not now, cause all you bandwagon fans now that hes winning, you cheer. Yall are stupid fans that wouldnt know a good driver if it hit you in the a**!!!

Go Tony!!!!

At least Tony Stewart can actually have his own opinion, no matter how stupid it may seem sometimes. Gordon's corporate line of B.S. gets annoying. Gordon isn't the only driver guilty of this either. Give me Stewart's anger ball aggressiveness over the Mr. Nice Guy approach any day of the week.
