Guys-Are you intimidated by intelligent women who are earning a higher salary than you, and in a much better job?

Sum men might back away from women who are at the peek of success; Since men are so egotistic that want to be the bread winner in the family, and don't think they should be taken care of financially by a woman. So when they are not able to do so, they might feel sheer insecurity.

I did not ask why are all men intimidated by women who are more intelligent. If that’s what I said then with all due respect then you have rights to call me a feminist.

I did not at all generalized- so don’t find injury so quick
I used phrases such as “some men” I never said all men.

I think u are too easily upset- what is there to get so tensed about.

Please read my post again.

No, quite the contrary, but I also don't like people who think they are better than you because they have a higher IQ. There is a line where it becomes pretentious.

I'm intimidated by all women, so smart women is just part of the list. I'm sorry to vent, but women will make decisions about finding their signifcant other on two things: How much money a guy makes or how many notches are on their criminal rap sheet. There is no room for just being normal, you have to do something out of the ordinary to get even a hello, let alone a date. I'm open for anything a woman does, they can be president for all I care. Just be approachable and just say Hi, but I'm not interested. Give us a nice brush-off at least. So I have a reason to be insecure -- How can you not when all you get is no, no, no, no

I appreciate intelligent women and further, I appreciate intelligent women who are confident and not afraid to speak their minds. As for the money aspect of things, I don't think it has anything to do with anything in a relationship. Relationships these days are a more equal partnership in that the roles blurr and men and women both do what is needed regardless of gender-specific assigments from the past. Rather, that is what I believe it should be.

My thoughts on that is it all depends on the people involved on how they deal with it. But you are very right in most all cases I've been aware of guys are very insecure in that area. The wife and I make close to the same at the end of the year, but were not of the 20/30 age group. I figure my 64 high school diploma is about 5Th grade or lower now, you must keep yourself self educated to make your living

Hell no!
I like my women smart, so that I can have an intelligent chat.
An now, dating women who earns more money is not intimidating. Its refreshing. This way I don't have to worry whether I will have enough to support her (not that I would that task to her, but it would relieve some of that pressure).

An intelligent woman doesn't intimidate at all. As long as she's someone I have something in common with and can have fun with, then it is not an issue. Besides, I'm not exactly stupid myself.

Nope! I love them because you can actually have a good conversation. I just hate it when I don't understand the words but hopefully they will talk about interesting subjects that you have to be smart to get like conspiracies and illuminati but use simple words.

Not if I'm equally intelligent and can hold a decent conversation together. Being in a relationship with someone earning more than me would be a welcome change - means I don't have to stress as much!

Not intimidated by intelligence, but the better job would be a little intimidating.

But it's easy to see past, and easy to get to know the "Real" person.

No. However, intelligence and money should not go to your head, and you should have a great deal of maturity and humility to go with it.

Do not lord it over guys, because they will not give you the time of day!
