My grandpa had a stroke today and he might pass away, this has been his second one. I don't want him to pass away but I really loved my Great Grandma (his mother). She was the closest person to me in my life, even as close as my parents are. Maybe more...I miss her so much and it has been 5 years scine her death. Before she died she always asked me what I wanted to be when I grew older, I told her a Veteranarian... when she died a year after I reached highschool and knew this wasn't possible so I want to become a Paramedic now.
I know she is here with me right now, in my heart but what should I tell my grandpa should I remind him that I am going to be a Paramedic so he can pass it on to her if he meets her in the afterlife? I'm going to the hospital to see him tommorow....what things should I say other than I love him...

I am sorry to hear about your grandfather. Let him know how much he means to you and tell him about your favorite times with him and how much you enjoyed being with him. Your grandfather is strong and remember that. He survived one stroke and that is proof that it can be done. Keep him in your prayers and try not to worry.
Put your trust in God and cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you. He will not leave or forsake you or your grandfather. God bless you and your family.

The most important thing to tell him is how much you love him. He may not be dying. If you aren't pretty sure that he is, I would be careful not to say things to him that might make him think he's dying--like giving him messages to give his mother. That would be very discouraging to him. If you and your grandpa are Christians, you could tell him you're praying for him. I'm sure he'd appreciate that.

The most important thing is to tell him how much you love him, and to just be with him. You don't need to worry about him passing information on for you. Your great-grandmother knows everything that is happening in your life, and you can rest assured that she is with you! I'll keep your family in my prayers through this difficult time.

awww I'm so sorry. Tell your gpa that you love him and you will always love him. If your ggma was saved, shes in heaven and waiting for you if you are also. She has no tears, no worries and no pain. For you to be a vet or a medic, isn't a concern of hers, her concern is to see you someday. Heaven isn't a place that we worry about our ones still on earth, its a place of peace and unending love. Stay strong and I hope your gpa passes easily if its his time.

Knowing that he is loved is the most important thing to him at this time. And knowing that family is with him is very important. At this time that is the most beautiful thing that you can give him... your physical presence and your love. If any of us have that when our time comes, we will be richly blessed. I fear that I will die alone. Your grandfather is blessed to have you. I know it is hard for you, but just be with him. That is all that he needs.

Don't bother your grandfather with the prospect of otherworldly errands. Just enjoy the time you have with him while you can, and show your love as well as you can. He would appreciate that.

I certainly wouldn't tell him to pass on a message when he dies. I would encourage him to live and pray that he do so.

Just be there for him, his life is fading, and he might be scared.
Just be there for him.
