shouldn't they help support the illegals by sending them to Catholic Schools and Hospitals for free ?
Then the American Taxpayer wouldn't have to pick up the tab .

I think it is very clear here the Catholic Church worries so much about illegals all their teachings are no longer being followed. If this ethnic group has the highest rates of teen pregnancy, abortion, and out- of- wedlock births, of any ethnic group in the country, it is clear the Church and it's message is lost. The sex scandals themselves have cost the Church billions and to this day the scandals continue. Cover ups, lying, child molesting priests. I think they want a batch of uneducated people they can mode and make them think whatever they tell them is gospel much like a cult. This Church spends way to much time and money on illegals and wonders why people are leaving in droves. The Catholic Church has a moral obligation to get it's own affairs in order before preaching about what they want everybody else to do when they do lack in some moral issues ongoing since the 50's or earlier, who knows

Immigration is a government concern (not that I'm very happy about their apparent lack of concern) and therefore, the church should butt out!

However, since they've opted to meddle where they don't belong then they should immediately loose their tax free status as a religious entity. This would apply to any church that meddles in government business, not just the Catholics.

And to directly answer your question; NO. Why? Because even if the church were required to pick up the tab for the education and medical expenses of the immigrants, there is nothing to force the immigrants to stay in the Catholic Schools or to remain in any district where the church can monitor their medical needs and costs. Immigrants, legal or not, are still free to wander like Gypsies in the U.S.

Not a good scene, eh!

*Is Catholic*

The Catholic Church does not encourage illegal immigration or the breaking of just civil laws.

In fact, if one reads the Catechism and the teachings of the Church, Catholics are instructed to be model citizens of their respective countries.

There are a few erring bishops who opt for a social gospel over the Gospel and they tend to get a lot of media attention. They do not however speak for the Church.

BTW taxpayers fund aspects of Catholic Schools and Hospitals.

What is needed is widespread immigration reformed a reform that must start by the enforcing of our boarder and the immigration policy. Once that is fixed, then we can figure out what to do with the illegals who are here.

Yes, the Catholic Church sweeps it own scandals under the carpet, but then becomes holier than thou, when we want our immigration laws enforced. Maybe the Catholic Church needs to sponsor each and everyone in their church that is illegal, and bill the Catholic Church, for each and every service the illegal avail themselves

I am tired of all this inmigrant bashing. You people are throwing rocks but you live in glass houses. I don't see any native americans bashing you for your ancestors having stolen their land. You all need to realize that the government is not going to send all this people back 1) because they are good for the economy, and 2) The U.S.can't afford to have revolutions in Latin America.3) 80% of illegals are very decent people, they work hard and do not commit crimes, they pay taxes and don't get them back since they can't file returns, every race has good people and bad people, and yes I agree that they should learn english, but I also agree that Spanish should be the second language, since a large part of the now U.S. used to belong to Spain then to Mexico. By inciting anger against a particular group of people you are opening a Pandora's box you yourselves will be sorry to have done. Get rid of your hate, you all will be happier, better people.

The Catholic Church has a long history of hypocrisy including the Spanish Inquisition, persecution of conflicting religious viewpoints, restriction of free thought, etc. It comes as no surprise that they are providing aid and comfort to illegal aliens. If you witness a church official aiding or abetting illegal immigration, report that individual to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) as well as reporting the activity to the IRS, as such a religious organization is no longer entitled to tax-exempt status.

Later...

Only three thumbs down? I'm really off my game. I forgot to mention the utter hypocricy of this "humanitarian" outfit that allowed its priests to rape children. Did I say "allowed"? I meant "encouraged", or in legalese "aided and abetted". All the way up to the Pope, not one person stepped forward and said "Hey, who's going to take responsibility for this? These are our faithful that we're hurting."

Well...?

I'm still trying to figure out where ROsie O'Donnell is on this one. She doesn't think Catholics should be allowed to be judges due to separation of church and state, but I haven't heard her speak out against the Catholic church lobbying for blanket amnesty.

NO! The USA should make Rome recall all its "embassies" and we should deport all its officers and all the illegals it is protecting back to the Vatican. The cult of the "Church Universal" (Catholicism) is as bad for America as The AntiChrist'sLegalUnit! Both should be shut down and all their assetts seized.

please help to spread this message across America. On June 14-16 , next month, there will be a march to demonstrate AGAINST illegal immigrants in our country. This march will be nation wide. The immigrants have been marching and demonstrating and our Government has been pampering and rewarding them for their actions. Our voices cannot be heard sitting on our couches watching the news after working all day. We need to do as they are and join together so that our representatives will see that we are tired of them not listening to the American citizens. www.lframerica.com/march2.html This is a link to the site which explains about the march. They are asking that our government follow our present laws and that immigrants must abide by them. To become a citizen, they must follow our Constitution which requires them to learn the ENGLISH language, put down their flag and take up ours, and apply legally. We need to get everyone we know this message and ask that all get involved. We need marches , motorcycle arcades, and our flags flown to show our support. Everyone that can needs to walk, drive, crawl to our state capitols on the 16th to show our support. If we cant make it to the capital, have marches to the town courthouses, have rallies, whatever and however we can. Please read the link and then forward this message to everyone on your messenger list. WE NEED TO GET THE MESSAGE ABOUT THIS MARCH SPREAD ACROSS ALL OF OUR STATES. PLEASE DO YOUR SHARE, FORWARD THIS. WE HAVE ONLY A SHORT TIME TO SPREAD THIS MESSAGE.................
