i think nothing is difficul with the ppl, i passed all my exams from ppl to atpl with no problem at all, you can pass easly but whats importent to understand aviation not to pass the exam, you might find it useless to study some subjects but you will need all the stuff and even if you dont use them you will have a background to the more complicated materials you will use when fly for companies, contact me if you need any help with your studing, hghazoly@walla.com
good luck try to enjoy yourself flying small aircrafts coz it is fun and easy :)

I got my Pilot's License from Comair Aviation Academy but I still credit my passing the written exam to GLEIMS. Yes, take that big red book and read it from cover to cover...3 times. I read it cover to cover 8 times and I passed with an 80-something! The written exam was tougher than I thought it would be. I thought it would be nothing but concrete questions, but they pulled out some questions that actually tested your knowledge. But you WILL PASS if you buy GLEIMS!!
PS. If you took off on a Rocket from Daytona Beach DAB what classes of airspace would you be passing through and what are the visibilities, minimum cloud distances, and transponder requirements in each airspace and at what altitudes will oxygen be required for the pilot and what altitude for passengers?
and know where to point the plane and for how long to get back on a Radial.
-Will a compass lead or lag when turning from a magnetic heading of 270 to 360?

Remember that you're taking the ground school, not to pass the test but to give you some knowledge that will keep you alive in the airplane.
So, don't think about the knowledge test as something to get through -- it's just a step toward being a safe pilot.
In other words, you shouldn't be looking for shortcuts!

Take the ground school. Not just because it will help you pass the written exam, but because it will help you to see and understand things that will be on the bigger test, that is real life.

I highly recommend ground school, not just for the written exam, but also for the knowledge you will receive in navigation, flight planning and basic airmanship.
It is well worth your time and whatever money it costs. Some ground schools are self-paced using multi-media technology. These can be very effective in meeting your individual needs.
