I have hair on my upper lip thats not real noticable, but noticable for me to want to remove/ and or make not visible. What is the best way to deal with it, i.e. what are the pros and cons of the different removal methods? Thank you!!!

It depends on what you can afford. Laser is permanent but expensive. I did it and it works. But it won't work on blonde hair, the laser has to have color in the hair to reflect off of. If your hair is light colored, then maybe try waxing. I never had any luck with nair. I noticed someone said that laser costs a couple of hundred dollars. It is a lot more than that. the upper lip alone is usually close to $100 PER TREATMENT, and it takes at least 4 to 6 treatments. I'm about to schedule my 8th treatment ( I do the lip and chin). But it's worth it to me.

I know this might sound obvious, but the best way to get rid of upper lip hair is to stop growing it. This can be done through balancing your hormone levels.

Testerone levels when higher in either male or female, promote hair growth on the face. Seriously, I would get your hormone levels checked by a qualified practitioner. You will not regret it!

Go with laser hair removal....you get treated and then it is gone forever. Just be careful that you go to someone with experience. If you are dark skin toned or if you tan before treatment there is a risk that you may be burned if the settings are too high.

The attached site has a list of providers that have received strong ratings from previous customers.

Good luck.

I would definently say waxing. I have the same issue...it's not bad but it bothers me. Waxing is usually $5 to $15 depending on where you go and it really doesn't hurt unless you have really sensitive skin. For me waxing lasts about 3 weeks...but it might be different for you. Waxing would be your best bet unless you're willing to spend the money on laser hair removal.

waxing
pros: very quick, hair doesn't grow back for 2 to 3 weeks
cons: hurts (for a moment), you cant wax again until the hair is 1/4 inch long
try:parissa tea tree soft gel

tweezing
pros: lasts for two to four weeks
cons: feels like pinpricks, takes a while to do it
try: the thinnist pointed tweezers you can find

lazer removal
pros:lasts forever
cons:costly.. $200 usually, kinda hurts

Watever you do DO NOT WAX!!!!! It will come back ever worse...Bleach it....there is a certain kind of bleach that u use for unwanted hair...all it does is make it non notisable....waxing will leave your upper lip will red bumps and soreness for a few hours...but not recommended.....Good luck!

Don't wax/shave, it will be a PAIN trust me.
What i chose to do was bleach it. You can bleach it once every few weeks or so.
it works great! i use sally hansens upper lip bleaching cream. its pretty cheap too!
and you cant even tell the hairs there. im glad i didnt choose to wax/shave it.

i've tried it all and the safest and best method for me is threading as the hair takes time to grow and it doesnt leave the hair looking coarse... and once you get used to it it doesnt hurt too badly
